Responsibilities:

  • Manage environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership, communication, motivation and direction of safety committee
  • Conduct a rigorous incident investigation process focused on, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive measures and lessons learned, keeping records of all events
  • Monitor HSE indicators (injury prevention leading indicators and lagging indicators), providing statistical analysis, indicators trends and defining actions plans based on the analysis.
  • Coordinate safety training for all employees in the areas of Safety Health & Environmental matters
  • Develop and provide New Hire Orientation Safety Training
  • Assist department management in the development of effective health and safety countermeasures to continuously improve safety culture
  • Serve as co-chair on the Health and Safety Committee and help to coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of issues identi ed by the Safety regulations and Flowserve corporate audits
  • Conduct monthly workplace safety inspections and establish measurable standards from which further recommendations (continuous improvement) can be made, with effective follow-up
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills
  • Ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time pertaining air, storm water and sanitary sewer discharge permits.

Requirements Experience / Skills:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience within Health, Safety and Environmental in a manufacturing setup, preferably in engineering industry.
  • Experience with compliance audits and documentation
  • Advanced oral and written English.
  • Proficiency in Tamil is a must
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral, written and organizational skills

Role Purpose

As a member of the JLL West Asia HSSE team, this individual will be responsible for implementing and managing HSSE for one of the JLL’s key India CS accounts. The most important objective of this role will be ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors return home safely at the end of their working day. 

To demonstrate leadership in HSSE management, ensuring that the JLL HSSE and Client Management System and Standards are applied across areas of responsibility. To promote a positive, proactive safety culture and to influence stakeholders and ensure alignment and compliance with all client HSSE related policies and practice.

The role is highly visible, and the work is fast-paced focused on ensuring that critical stakeholders, such as employees and clients, receive timely, relevant information and appropriate counsel for HSSE Matters. Successful candidate must have an acute eye for HSSE risk and be able to foster as strong safety culture and deliver world class results, improved productivity and flawless execution.

To drive a program for training, audit, measurement and reporting HSSE performance against agreed standards. To implement practical risk management strategies.

What this job involves

Performance

  • Ensure Client and JLL HSE Procedures are implemented at the Client location
  • Ensure HSE trainings, Mock drills and Tool box talks are conducted
  • Ensure the site and facility operations within the scope of services are in adherence to the applicable HSE regulations
  • Ensure timely reporting of incidents and management of RCA and CAPA.
  • Conduct HSE audit for the site and submit report to the admin team
  • Ensure external/ internal HSE audit points are closed and ensure to avoid recurrence of the audit points
  • Ensure building and services related HSSE risk assessments are in place
  • Manage account specific incident and accident investigations.
  • Support implementation of an effective account HSSE communication plan.

  • Essential Criteria:

  • Must have BE in Engineering/Graduation in science.
  • Must have Diploma in Industrial Safety from Recognized State board of Technical Education
  • NEBOSH IGC & IOSH certified persons are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing, implementing, and managing HSSE programs, including hands on experience in ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Strong track record HSSE management experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients.
  • An agile approach to stakeholder management – able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.

    **Job Duties**:
    Under direct supervision of Operations leadership, the Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines as instructed. Duties are likely to be within a defined project, work site or geographic location. Activities include, but are not limited to, hazard identification and risk management, incident reporting, investigation and causal analysis, waste minimization, pollution prevention and control, emergency response, and various compliance activities in all areas of HSE. Provides oversight of the integrated management system (HMS) that at a minimum meets the needs of the company and the requirements of industry standards. Conducts and participates in internal, regulatory, and customer audits and inspections. Record-keeping and other general administrative duties are likely. Provides technical advice, data interpretation, training, and process improvement. Requires an Undergraduate Degree in an HSE related field, Science, or Engineering and three years of experience in Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing.

    1. Person must have minimum 5 years of experience in implementation of HSE strategies, policies, procedures, and processes in Upstream Oil & Gas Drilling & Completion Operation in onshore and offshore.
    2. Person must be fluent in Hindi and English communication. (Read, Write and Speak)
    3. Person must be aware about statutory requirements applicable in upstream oil & gas drilling operation in India e.g. OMR, OISD, PESO, PCB etc.
    4. Develop and implement, project specific HSE bridging document, ERP, annual HSE plan.
    5. Run campaign, conduct drills, inspections, and audit as per project annual HSE plan.
    6. Prepare weekly and monthly HSE Reports.
    7. Conduct project specific weekly safety meeting and participate in customer’s monthly safety meeting.
    8. Person must participate in Hazard Identification and Risk Management to ensure effective controls are identified and in place.
    9.STOP any unsafe work and develop culture among crew for same.
    10.Co-ordinate HSE related matter with customer and contractor.
    11.Carry out incident investigation, root cause analysis and identification and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
    12.Person must be well versed with Microsoft Office Package i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point.

    **Location**: Navi Mumbai/ Kakinada - Ready to re-locate Barmer and other locations based on project requirement within India/ outside India.

    - M. Tech in HSE/ Industrial Safety or
    - B. Tech in Fire & Safety/ Industrial Safety or
    - Engineering/ Science Graduate + Diploma in Industrial Safety

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs and policies to minimize workplace risks and ensure regulatory compliance. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of national and international EHS regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems. Your duties will include conducting regular site inspections (virtually or as needed), performing hazard identification and risk assessments, developing and delivering safety training, investigating incidents and near misses, and recommending corrective actions. You will also be instrumental in promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This is a remote position, requiring excellent self-management skills and the ability to conduct virtual audits and training.     • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management.
    • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
    • NEBOSH, CSP, or CIH certification is highly preferred.
