The team supports regulatory compliance requirements for Amazon's worldwide programs like Human Rights Social impact, Dangerous Goods, Global Trade Services and Transport Risk and Compliance. GSRC currently has presence in India, China, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Jordan, Costa Rica, UK, Luxembourg, Singapore and USA.
The Human Rights Social impact (HRSI) program drives customer trust and business continuity by ensuring respect for the rights of workers throughout Amazon's supply chain and operations. We uphold company standards and expectations (such as Amazon's Supply Chain Standards and Human Rights Principles), and seek to constantly improve the tools and processes that we use in doing so. As a Risk Specialist, you will work closely with World Wide Human Rights Social impact team (WWHRSI) and GSRC Ops internal team to execute and support the mechanisms to meet Amazon's human rights principles and Supply Chain Standards and to ensure our suppliers are compliant with those.
You will be responsible for validating Major / Alert findings and providing CAPAs on escalation received or identified defects.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute validation of Major and Alert findings received post Social Audits as per Human Rights Social impact Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while collaborating with Audit firms, Legal, Category, Program, WW HRSI, Operations and Global Operations Suppliers (GPO) teams.
- Execute / Own SOP creation and validation based on new updates, process change.
- Responsible to handle escalations and perform Deep Dive to get to the Root Cause and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.
- Responsible to deliver CAPA and solve complex queries / scenarios by supporting associates.
- Expertise on high risk non compliances and remediations procedures.
- Monitor Audit firms during supplier audits to drive supplier performance.
- Provide technical information and training to Audit firms / dependent teams / Associates on Social Responsibility audits.
- Handle day-to-day queries and issues (constantly thinking about how to Invent and Simplify to improve)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Auditor in the field of Sustainability and related domains (Human Rights Social impact)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of on-site social audits/ factory floor audit experience.
- Knowledge of SMETA, RBA, BSCI, SA8000, Fair trade audits
- Knowledge of labor and ethics standards
- APSCA certified Auditor
- Passionate about Ethics, Labor and EHS, with strong willingness to learn and share knowledge.
- Good Communication skills and Stakeholder Management
