The Junior Radiology Technician position at Spandana Hospital seeks a motivated individual to join our team in Bangalore. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with up to 3 years of relevant work experience. The Radiology Technician will operate critical imaging equipment, perform scans, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive high-quality care.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in operating radiology equipment is mandatory for ensuring accuracy and precision in imaging.
• Expertise in handling X-ray imaging equipment, which is crucial for producing detailed radiographs (Mandatory skill).
• Proficiency in MRI scanning, to create high-resolution images using magnetic resonance technology (Mandatory skill).
• Skill in patient positioning to ensure optimal imaging results and patient comfort during procedures.
• Familiarity with PACS systems for effectively storing, retrieving, and managing digital medical images.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to perform quality assurance tests on equipment to maintain high standards of operation and safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and healthcare staff.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment including X-ray machines and MRI scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Position patients accurately to obtain the necessary images while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to interpret radiographic results and deliver patient care.
• Maintain radiology equipment to guarantee proper functionality and safety according to departmental protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.

Department: R&D – Surgical Robotics / Imaging Systems

Experience: 3–7 years (preferably in medical imaging or related healthcare domain)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Engineer to join our cutting-edge team in developing next-generation surgical robotics and imaging solutions. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing algorithms for CT data processing, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction . The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in medical image analysis, machine learning integration, and clinical workflow alignment to ensure world-class imaging outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• CT Data Processing & Segmentation:
• Develop accurate and efficient algorithms for anatomical segmentation from CT datasets.
• 3D Reconstruction & Mesh Generation:
• Design pipelines for 3D volume reconstruction and mesh creation for visualization and computational modelling.
• Performance Optimization:
• Improve imaging pipeline performance with algorithmic and code-level enhancements.
• Machine Learning Integration:
• Apply ML models to automate and enhance segmentation and classification tasks.
• Clinical Collaboration & Validation:
• Partner with radiologists and clinical users to validate imaging tools and incorporate real-world feedback.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong programming proficiency in Python or C++ .
• Hands-on experience with image processing libraries: ITK, VTK, Simple ITK, OpenCV .
• Machine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch .
• Experience with medical image data , especially CT .
• Knowledge of 3D mesh processing , smoothing, and surface optimization.
• Familiarity with DICOM formats and PACS systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science , or a related field.
• Experience with orthopedic or bone imaging applications.
• Demonstrated research or innovation through published work in medical imaging, computer vision, or similar fields.
• Experience in regulatory-compliant environments (ISO 13485, FDA, CE) is a plus.
