Work Type: On-site (work from office), 5 days a week (9 AM – 6 PM)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Immigration Specialist to manage and prepare US visa and immigration petitions, including OPT, EAD, H-1, L-1, O-1, P-1, I-140, PERM, and Green Cards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with USCIS and Department of Labor processes, along with strong knowledge of US immigration laws and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit petitions and applications to USCIS and DOL for non-immigrant and immigrant statuses.
- Manage USCIS Requests for Evidence (RFEs), coordinating documentation and follow-ups.
- Review visa petitions and related documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures.
- Stay up to date with changes in US immigration legislation and ensure adherence to internal and external policies.
- Assist in implementing technology and software improvements for process automation, reporting, and compliance.
- Oversee documentation, submission, collection, and follow-up activities related to US visas.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of complex contractual language and client requirements.
- Positive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Target-driven, quick learner, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior experience handling a team and interacting with clients.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate or Postgraduate with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in US immigration matters is mandatory.

Key Activities (Critical activities of the job)
Legal advisory responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the management and resolution of a diverse range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
- Advise on civil/criminal matters that should be directed to external counsel, liaise with and assist external counsel to pursue civil/criminal matters.
- Research, analyse and interpret complex policies, legal and regulatory issues, to prepare high quality and articulate submissions, reviews and recommendations.
- Provide expert knowledge that adds value to decision makers to enhance the decision-making process and improve the efficacy of the activities of the Organization.
- Lead and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department’s service on time for day to day operations.
- To ensure policy, legal and regulatory compliance is met with and that risk is identified, minimized and managed.
- Proactively assess and respond to the impact of changes in the operating environment on relevant legislation, legal, policy and regulatory frameworks applicable to the Organization.
Legal implementation responsibilities
- Take instructions/directions from Legal Head before commencing/initiating any work received from other departments of the Organization.
- Initiate and pursue legal proceedings as required by the Organization i.e. prepare writs, defences, submissions and other pleadings in civil/criminal cases both “for and against” the Organization.
- Carry out legal research and analysis, identifying important issues and apprising the Organization of emerging legal trends from court decision and tendering advice to avoid unwarranted litigation matters.
- Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements.
- Monitor legal obligations under contracts and agreements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain database of the status of all court matters involving the Organization.
- Assist in the formulation, implementation and/or amendment of policies of Organization.
Liaison responsibility
- Work closely with Business Development Team to de-risk the land/real estate acquisition process by:
- Acquisition of property/project - Legal due diligence of property.
- Attend meetings with property owners/developers/Member of the Societies.
- Issue public notice for inviting claims of third party who may have claims on property which Organization intends to purchase/develop.
- To issue Title Certificate for the property/project and further to prepare all documentations required to complete the said acquisition.
- Assist CRM Team to handle customer complaints/queries and maintain great customer service experience.
- Be an active memeber in the discussions for making strategies for large scale acquisition.
- Work with accounts department for processing of various Fee Bills of external advocates/counsels/solicitors/ search clerks and settlements.
Knowledge upgrade :
- Keep abreast of contemporary legal advancements and develop innovative policy and legal options in response to challenging operational requirements to expand and deliver the core business of the Organization.
Qualification:
- LLB
Prior Experience:
- Minimum 10 years extensive experience in handling legal matters as a practicing Attorney-at-Law or in a corporate environment.
