Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Imports & Exports Executive to manage and coordinate all international shipment activities, ensuring smooth and compliant import/export operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documentation, liaising with customs agents, freight forwarders, and internal departments, while ensuring timely delivery of goods and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end documentation for import and export shipments (Invoices, Packing List, BL, COO, etc.).
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA agents, shipping lines, and transporters to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Ensure customs compliance and proper duty structure understanding (HS Codes, DGFT policies, etc.).
  • Track shipments and update internal stakeholders on the shipment status.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers for necessary documents and shipping instructions.
  • Maintain and update import/export records as per government and audit requirements.
  • Assist in preparing cost sheets, landed cost calculations, and product pricing.
  • Coordinate with finance for BOE (Bill of Entry) reconciliation, advance license tracking, and payments.
  • Monitor export incentives, such as MEIS/RODTEP, and file necessary claims.
  • Stay updated on EXIM policies, Incoterms, and international trade regulations.
  • Knowledge of Tally would be an added advantage.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in import/export operations.

Job Description.

  • Classify company products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Export Commodity Control Numbers, and applicable Partner Government Agencies.
  • Solid knowledge of US, EU and APAC export regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to research discrepancies and provide substantiation to support the classification to Customer and Logistic in a timely manner.
  • Product knowledge, collaborating with engineers, external suppliers, and stakeholders for getting more information for classify approximate HS code for product.
  • Assign appropriate Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) with reasonable care.
  • Identify the control Item which are export from US and SG, check whether required any export control license for part.
  • Assist in daily trade compliance operations for US import and export transactions, ensuring timely clearance with customs brokers.
  • Manage the classification, approval, and handling of miscellaneous export.
  • Perform deemed-export customer screening against MK Denial, Dow Jones, and other sanctioned-party lists.
  • Periodically reconcile, update, and release or block entries in SAP based on the latest sanctioned party data.
  • Analyze anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) scope on the part.
  • Conduct Free Trade Agreement (FTA) eligibility reviews for USMCA, US-KR, and other agreements.
  • Analyze bills of materials and apply rules of origin to determine parts which are eligible for FTA duty claim
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system, GTS is a plus
