Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Industrial Automation Engineer at PERSPECTIV LABS. The role will be based in Bengaluru with the flexibility for some work from home. The Industrial Automation Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, process control, electrical engineering, automation, and robotics tasks on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Prior Experience in PLC Programming, preferably Delta, Schneider, Allen Bradley PLCs.

Responsibilities

> The job responsibility includes supervision of electrical control panel, MCC, PCC panels installation and testing if needed,

> PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI programming, VFD parameterization testing and commissioning.

> Field instrument setup including vision systems, Robotics programming & annual maintenance support if needed,

> MES, OEE & IOT design & software development,

> Providing time to time service support to customers at site & remote support as well, if required,

> Preparation of technical & non-technical documents related to the projects & official needs.

Qualifications

> 2- 4 years experienced Diploma/B.E / BCA/ B.Sc candidate ( EEE, instrumentation, mechatronics, ECE or C.SC are highly preferred)

> DET or GET from reputed industries are also considered,

> Training completed or prior experience on automation softwares & basic networking.

> Prior knowledge or experience in AutoCAD drafting will be an added advantage,

> Course completion in SQL/Java/C will be an added advantage for SCADA & Level 2 programming (Separate role),

> Thorough understanding about IEC standards about electrical, instrumentation & automation.

> Good communication skills in both verbal & written.

> Competent enough to work alone & adapt to team work,

We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer to join our Industrial Automation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC-based control systems in a manufacturing or process automation environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure that the software reliably integrates with complex electromechanical components, delivers precise control, and meets stringent performance and safety.

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs platforms (Any platform – Siemens/ Mitsubishi, ABB etc).
• Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
• Perform on-site commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation systems and machinery.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
• Document system architecture, PLC code, I/O lists, and test procedures.
• Modify existing PLC programs to improve system performance and support production upgrades.
• Interface with sensors, actuators, VFDs, robots, and other industrial equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to customers or internal maintenance teams.
• Ensure all programming and system integration meets safety and industry standards (IEC 61131-3, ISO, etc.).

► Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC programming.
• Proficiency in industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms like WinCC, GT Designer, FactoryTalk, or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in real-time industrial environments.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for installation, support, and commissioning (domestic/international as needed).

► Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with servo drives, motion control, and robotics integration.
• Knowledge of industrial safety systems and compliance standards.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and panel layouts using tools like EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts, IIoT, and remote diagnostics.
