As the subject matter expert in SCADA and Instrumentation & Control systems for solar, wind, and substation applications, you will play a key role within the Engineering Services team in India. Your responsibilities will span engineering, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. You will work closely with the project development, construction engineering, and asset management teams across the Asia-Pacific region to support the engineering needs of utility-scale PV solar (including floating solar), wind, and BESS projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for SCADA and I&C expertise, with a core focus on delivering and coordinating all related aspects from concept to commissioning across our renewable energy project portfolio.

How you will make an Impact:

• Be the primary point of contact for all SCADA and Instrumentation & Control Engineering needs of RE project, Grid code compliances and Connectivity requirements for the application of utility scale solar, wind, BESS and Hybrid RE projects.
• Liasoning with various stake holders EPC, OE and OEMs and government authorities (Grid-India, CTU, etc) for all technical matters from concept to commissioning stage.
• Prepare, review of design deliverables such IO/Signal list, wiring diagram, system architecture and communication cable schedule, etc. related to PV SCADA, SAS, PPC, FOTE, Telemetry system, weather station and string/zone monitoring box, etc.
• Prepare, review specifications, scope of works, RPF, Drawings, and QA/QC aspects for all SCADA & I&C engineering.
• Design, development, Modification and troubleshooting for PLC/embedded & SCADA/SAS and connected devices/subsystems.
• LDC signal list validation and verification during plant commissioning and trial runs.
• Identify SCADA & I&C -related project risks, organize them within the project risk matrix, and identifying possible risk mitigations.
• Interaction with sites & provide all the possible technical support to them related to SCADA/PLC/RTU, etc.
• Verification & Validation of the reports of all the parameters configured in SCADA/PLC/RTU, etc.
• Support Installation, supervision, trouble shooting of SCADA, SAS, PPC, Telemetry system and support during commissioning and operation stage.
• Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projects.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• BE/BTech or Master in Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation engineering from a recognized college/university.
• 8-12 years (min 8 years in Utility scale PV Solar projects across India and APAC region).
• CEng and PE certified (preferred)
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS-office & AutoCAD. o Familiarity with use of SCADA, Central monitoring system, SAS, PPC, RTU, IED, Control & protection system design and optimization tool.
• Knowledge of structured programming, communication techniques and protocols including but not limited to IEC 61850, Modbus- TCP/IP and RTU.
• Design of SCADA Architecture/Schemes, Communication Layouts/documents, IO list, Telecommunication, Power Plant Controller, CCTV, Weather Monitoring, Fire Alarm Systems.
• Familiar with Grid code and utility standard - Indian grid code(IEGC), CEA regulation and local/country specific requirements related to power system studies and metering, protection, safety regulations.
• Familiar with Engineering standards –IEC,EN, BS, IEEE/ANSI, NEC, and NFC & etc. and Local country codes, Safety regulations, Utility standards & etc.
• Prepare and review of plant SCADA related System architecture and Schemes & etc.
• Preparation and review of BOM, RFP & RFQ
• Estimation and costing of SCADA, SAS, PPC, Telemetry system, CCTV, WMS, FAS to optimise project cost.
• Preparation of technical specifications and review of tender specifications.
• Review of Manufacturers/Vendor/Subcontractors Techno-Commercial Offers, Drawings & Documentations related to the products and services.

Remuneration Package Includes:

55 to 65 per hour + Overtime + Super + Car Allowance + Fuel Card + WFH (when programming)

Car allowance and Fuel Card is provided as there is travel locally and VIC wide.

A willingness to travel interstate, abroad (rate but possible) and ability to participate on an after hours call out roster, ideal. After hours call out frequency is roughly 1 week every 8 weeks (roughly 1 - 10 calls).

WFH: Coming on site when it makes sense to do so. This can be for rolling out an application that interfaces with hardware, installations, site meetings with clients etc.

Hours:

• 8 hour days from Monday to Thursday
• 6 hour day on Fridays

Overtime:

After 8 hours - first two hours is at time and a half and double time afterwards except on Fridays where it's after 6 hours first two hours is at time and a half and double time afterwards.

Tech experienced required:

• Strong knowledge working with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC systems is a must!

• Experience with other PLC systems such as Siemens and Omron.

• Experience with designing and modifying HMI screens.

• Experience in the development & commissioning of Citect and Wonderware SCADA systems

• Experience in instrumentation and variable speed drives (VSD's)

To be successful you must have:

• A-grade electrical or restricted electrical license

• 2-5+ years of industrial automation experience with strong knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC systems

• PR / AU or NZ Citizenship

• Car and Drivers Licence
