**Role Description***
Capacity Planning team is responsible to plan equipment/tools needed at the required target buffer levels at both Captive and Non-Captive sites to support the Flash Business Unit within Western Digital. Capacity Planning team is also responsible for coordinating and finalizing the overall flash backend capex.
This Capacity Planning role requires the candidate to work closely with Factory IE teams, CM (Contract Manufacturer) Operations, Manufacturing Product Engineering/Test Engineering & Memory Product Solutions (MPS) to position the required assembly/test capacity across all sites (Captive & CM's) to support the demand outlook.
Valuable experience will be gained by working, organizing, and driving overseas factories to meet planned capacity goals. Candidate must be able to quickly understand the current business processes and demonstrate high analytical and modelling skills to solve the problems. Moreover, the candidate must have a demonstrated capability to assess mutually exclusive demands to formulate an optimized solution which will provide the capacity needed to satisfy current and future product demands.
