This Victorian council is home to major industries and services including retail, tourism, education, health, dairy, meat processing and construction. Its coastal setting is in a beautiful part of Victoria.  

The Planning team is busy, and they are looking for a Strategic Planning Coordinator to oversee a team of 3 staff. The role will be responsible for managing the day to day of the strategic planners, providing mentorship and training to the newer members of the team, and taking ownership of some of the projects which include retail and commercial strategy with a focus on activity and retail centres as well as a national land use strategy.  

The ideal candidate will have similar experience in local government with Victorian planning system experience. Someone who has the technical proficiency to be able to help with the other team members’ professional development while having leadership and people management skills and experience.  

The council is open to a hybrid working arrangement. Ideally, they would like someone on a permanent basis, however, they are happy to appoint someone in the interim on a 3-6 contract.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining with strategic partners within and outside of Medtronic India and working with them to identify and qualify new business opportunities.

    SALES/Business Development Background: Sales professionals with experience in direct sales responsibilities and people management responsibilities will be an added advantage. Business development, market development experience in competitive industries required. Most of the time is spent in analyzing trends, creating proposals and suggesting business changed which can drive exponential growth. Work closely with remote sales group and create a sustainable model for ensuring business continuity through alternate channels of business results.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:  Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through education combined with extensive sales experience. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. Requires a 10 years of relevant experience and expert level knowledge of company products and services.
