About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Expert to oversee, draft, review, and manage all contractual agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, organizational policies, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong legal acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to mitigate risks while safeguarding the company’s interests.

1. Draft, review, and interpret construction and infrastructure project contracts, ensuring alignment with national laws, FIDIC conditions, and organizational policies.
2. Provide expert advice on contract management, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance strategies throughout project lifecycles.
3. Ensure compliance with relevant legal frameworks, particularly the Arbitration Act of Nepal and international arbitration practices.
4. Assist in resolving contractual claims, variations, and disputes, acting as a liaison between contractors, consultants, and legal teams.
5. Support tendering processes by preparing contract documentation, bid evaluation criteria, and assisting in contract negotiations.
6. Monitor contract execution and performance, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and obligations are met.
7. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, legal advisors, and finance departments to ensure contract integrity and smooth execution.
8. Develop and update contract templates, guidelines, and standard procedures for internal use.
9. Provide training and capacity building to project teams on contract administration and dispute resolution processes.
10. Prepare reports, legal opinions, and documentation required for audits, claims, and arbitration proceedings.

1. MSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2. In-depth understanding of construction contract laws and procurement procedures.
3. Sound knowledge of the Arbitration Act of Nepal and FIDIC contract conditions.
4. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in contract management within construction and infrastructure projects.
5. Strong negotiation, analytical, and legal drafting skills.
6. Excellent communication and coordination skills with a keen eye for legal and technical details.
