**What you will do**

In this vital role you will responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and integration solutions in Clinical Trial Management, Monitoring, & Engagement (CTMME) product team that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers supporting Veeva - Vault Clinical Operations to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate will have a consistent record of working in technology-driven environment, with a strong focus on Veeva Vault - Clinical Operations. The candidate should be a self-starter and have a strong passion for fostering innovation and excellence in the biotechnology industry. **Roles & Responsibilities:**
+ Design, Build and maintain integrations between Veeva Vault - Clinical Operations, Study Training and other applications in the Clinical Operations ecosystem.

In this vital role you will as a **Manager, Information Systems - Engineering Systems & Smart Manufacturing** , you will lead the strategy, deployment, and lifecycle management of key digital platforms supporting Amgen's Global Engineering, Facilities, and Capital Project Management functions. You will play a critical role in driving Amgen's digital transformation through the implementation of advanced systems such as **SAP EAM** , **Planisware** , **Metrology Tools** , **Chemical Management** , **Asset Management, Environmental Health and Safety** and **Autodesk BIM 360** , while also contributing to **Industry 4.0** and **Smart Factory** initiatives.
As the Manager Information systems supporting Global Engineering function, you will direct a hard-working team of data engineers, analysts, and solution architects, ensuring effective delivery and continuous advancement of Global Engineering solutions. You will partner closely with Digital, Technology & Innovation, Operations, Quality, IT, Automation, and Data Science leaders to drive Amgen's next-generation manufacturing data strategy-from vision through execution-enabling seamless integration between PI, cloud, datalakes, reporting, and analytics platforms.
Your leadership will ensure data standardization, compliance, and analytics excellence, accelerating Amgen's digital transformation, operational insight, and data-driven decision making on a global scale.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
+ Serve as the IS lead and trusted advisor for Global Engineering and Facilities teams.
+ Develop and implement the digital roadmap for engineering systems, aligned with Amgen's smart manufacturing vision.
+ Identify emerging technologies and drive their integration into Amgen's operations (e.g., digital twins, IoT sensors, data lakes, AI/ML).
+ Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP EAM, Planisware, Metrology Systems, Chemical Inventory platforms, and BIM 360.
+ Manage system upgrades, integrations, vendor coordination, and end-user adoption strategies.
+ Ensure seamless interoperability between engineering systems and enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, MES, QMS).
+ Guide the evaluation, adoption, and lifecycle of emerging technologies (e.g., Databricks, data lakes, data fabrics, AI/ML, containerization, real-time streaming analytics) to enhance analytics capabilities for advanced manufacturing use cases.
+ Champion the development of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive maintenance, process optimization, and quality analytics using data science, software engineering, and AI/ML tools.
+ Serve as a steering member and critical issue point for major data platform projects, system incidents, and strategic vendor relationships.
+ Develop and manage COE resource plans, budgets, and external partnerships to ensure organizational objectives are met.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, multi-functional knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement throughout the COE and the global manufacturing analytics community.
+ Oversee comprehensive documentation, knowledge management, and training programs to support global adoption and sustainable value of data platforms and analytics solutions.
+ Champion change management strategies to embed data-driven thinking and analytics adoption at all organizational levels.
+ Represent Amgen Engineering Systems Data strategy and practices to senior leadership, regulatory agencies, and external technology partners as required.
+ Enable Engineering analytics, visualization, and insights by integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
+ Champion the adoption of digital platforms to improve equipment lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and asset performance.
**What we expect of you**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree and 8 to 13 years of Information Systems, Engineering, or a related rigor.
+ 8+ years of relevant experience in IT or engineering systems, including enterprise platforms in a regulated industry.
+ Demonstrable experience managing enterprise applications such as SAP EAM, Planisware, or metrology software.
+ Knowledge of engineering operations, capital project lifecycle, and asset management standard processes.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master's degree in engineering, Information Systems, or Business.
+ Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS), APIs, and integration middleware (e.g., Mulesoft).
+ Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM), digital twin architecture, or Smart Factory frameworks.
+ PMP, Six Sigma, or ITIL certifications.
+ Good communication, influencing, and multi-functional leadership skills.
**Good-to-Have Skills:**
+ Familiarity with big data technologies, AI platforms, and cloud-based data solutions.
+ Ability to work effectively across matrixed organizations and lead collaboration between data and AI teams.
