Job Purpose:
To supervise and coordinate all on-site installation activities related to Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), including civil foundation works and steel structure erection. Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality standards and design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:Site Supervision:
- Oversee day-to-day site activities for both civil and steel structure installation.
- Ensure proper execution of foundation work, anchor bolt fixing, and structural steel erection.
- Monitor and guide subcontractors and labor teams for smooth work progress.
Coordination & Execution:
- Coordinate with project engineers, clients, logistics, and internal departments for material availability and work sequencing.
- Ensure erection work follows approved GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and standard procedures.
- Maintain workflow as per project schedule and report delays or issues promptly.
Quality & Safety Monitoring:
- Ensure work is executed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
Progress Reporting:
- Maintain daily progress reports (DPR) and installation checklists.
- Update project management team regularly on site status and challenges.
- Support in preparing site measurement sheets and handover documentation.
Resource Management:
- Supervise labor and equipment usage efficiently.
- Ensure optimal use of cranes, tools, and erection machinery at site.
- Coordinate manpower allocation as per work requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of PEB erection techniques and civil foundations.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans.
- Knowledge of site safety norms and quality control procedures.
- Leadership skills to manage labor and subcontractor teams.
- Proficiency in using basic MS Office and site reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with site tools, alignment, bolting, and welding supervision.
Preferred Background:
- Experience working on industrial sheds, warehouses, logistics parks, or factory buildings.
- Worked with leading PEB fabrication and erection companies.
- Familiarity with IS codes or relevant steel erection standards.
