Roles & Responsibilities:
The E & I Engineer will work with Technical Lead & customer E & I team for the execution of projects within Pipeline/ Industrial/ LNG segments for trains driven by Gas Turbines/ Steam Turbines/ Compressors. He/ she will collaborate with extended Engineering project team and all other customer business functions supporting the project.
An E & I Engineer will be responsible for the Electrical equipment and Instrumentation design for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine Driven Compressor and Generator applications, Electric Motors, Reciprocating Compressors and Turboexpanders. He/ She will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. He/ She will be responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs.

  • Name Plates and hook-up specifications for Electrical equipment and Instruments.
  • Designing and tagging the Electrical and Instrumentation arrangements through the application of international standards ( ATEX, CSA, NEC/NEMA, IEC, etc).
  • Instrument Project design Summary preparation.
  • Modeling using 3D software for instrumentation loop arrangement based on installation condition.
  • Designing and SMART instrumentation configuration against susceptibility electric and electromagnetic noise.
  • Optimizing Electrical installation to standardize solution in collaboration with manufacturing department.
  • Creation, update & Evaluation of P&IDs as per customer requirement.
  • Preparation of list of Equipment/ Instruments/ Analyzers/ respective materials & I/O list, wiring diagram, primary and pneumatic hook-ups, ILD’s, Cable and tray layouts based on the P&IDs and vendor documents, Panel layouts, Instrument annunciator racks, Electrical hook-ups, Skid instruments, Various Oil Console/ local panel/ Start-stop panel instruments.
  • On-site Electrical Tracing, Electrical connections, Site engineering support.
  • Preparation of Equipment/Instruments Specification / Datasheets, Purchase Specification for all type of gauges and transmitters.
  • Project Scheduling, monitoring, and control, and maintain OTD and Quality of the Engineering documents, timely execution.
  • Design, Document, report preparation and Certification for (Must possess knowledge and work exposure on) Process Hazard Analysis, Hazardous area classification, Lighting protection system, Fire-fighting system and explosive atmosphere certification list preparation, etc.
  • Should have Exposure on Control Logic preparation and Operating procedure writing.
  • Commissioning spares, 2 years operations spare parts, Calibration kit requirement listing.

  • Required Skills (Technical Competency):
  • 3-8 years of Experience in E & I Designing in oil and gas/petrochemical/power sector.
  • Have proven working Experience in an engineering position for Instrumentation Engineering for Turbomachinery’s, Preferable: Gas turbine/ centrifugal compressor/ steam turbine/ Reciprocating Compressor / Turboexpanders.
  • Be proficient in electrical and instrumentation design and related development tools; knowledge of industry code and standards.
  • Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and motivate others.
  • Be able to work in multi-cultural team and customer review meetings.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Effective team building, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills.
  • Tools skill: Smart Plant-3D, AutoCAD Electrical, AVEVA instrumentation, EPLAN P8, MS office & Team Center. (will be preferred)

    About the role  

    To provide technical support, investigation, minor works implementation, optimisation and reporting in the field of Process Control to operational and technology groups.

    What the role will involve: 

    • Support Maintainers knowledge of process control systems throughout the business for the competency profiles of INLECS, DETs and electrical personnel state-wide
    • Provide supervision, direction, technical advice and guidance to professional engineers and maintenance staff in the specification, design & execution of complex Process Control activities, maintenance, or improvements.
    • Provide technical support services in process control inclusive of design criteria, design standards and other technical documentation.
    • Review statutes, regulations and standards with regard to process control to ensure the business unit operates in alignment.
    • Assist in the development of policies, standards, strategies and templates within process control assets to achieve best practice outcomes and maintain, and improve the effectiveness of the Company’s process control services through audit and analysis or from information provided from other sources (i.e. customer feedback networking etc).

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Professional qualification (bachelor’s degree) in a Process Control/Instrumentation or related discipline
    • Experience in PLC programming, in multiple systems
    • Experience in process control system maintenance across multiple systems
    • Experience with control systems communications protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, Profibus etc) and related infrastructure .
    • Experience in the delivery of process control support to different stakeholders.

    **What's the role**
    The Process Control Engineer is a key contributor to site operations, deeply embedded in work processes and collaborating across disciplines. Most engineers are assigned to specific plant areas, while some support site-wide initiatives. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and reliability of control systems through proactive engineering and strategic project development.
    **What you'll be doing**
    + Execute engineering activities for assigned production assets, including base layer control strategies, HMI design, compressor control, and alarm management.
    + Conduct Proactive Technical Monitoring to identify performance improvements and reliability risks; implement cost-effective solutions with area teams.
    + Collaborate with SIS specialists to design or modify Safety Instrumented Functions in alignment with process safety requirements.
    + Author and assure Management of Change (MOC) documentation within the Process Control discipline.
    + Lead or support failure analysis and causal investigations related to control system incidents; resolve MTO threats with root cause solutions.
    + Engage with global TAS networks to share best practices and explore new technologies (e.g., wireless systems, procedural automation).
    + Partner with Instrumentation and Maintenance teams to develop and execute turnaround worklists and process control scope
    **What you bring**
    + Preferably a bachelor's degree holder in Chemical Engineering or Instrumentation.
    + Ideally with 4 years of experience in base layer control, preferably in refining, petrochemicals, or large-scale industrial operations.
    + Proficiency in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is essential. Hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion or Foxboro I/A Series systems is highly desirable.
    + Strong understanding of IPF/SIF, SIS, and alarm management principles.
    + Good knowledge of field instrumentation, including selection, calibration, installation, and troubleshooting of various field devices
    + Experience with MOC processes, turnaround planning, and project development.
    + Knowledgeable in basic Oil Refining processes such as Distillation, Hydro processing, Cracking, Sulphur Recovery, Raw and Wastewater processing.
    + Knowledgeable in operation of Oil Refining equipment such as Heat Exchangers, Distillation columns, Reactors, Gas Absorbers, Strippers, Pumps, Compressors, etc.
