What you'll be doing:

• Be part of a hardworking, talented, cross-functional Global Circuits Team, designing and delivering groundbreaking circuit IPs involving SRAM arrays, Analog and/or Digital circuits.

• Work on architecting innovative circuit solutions and methodologies which monitor, measure on-chip silicon performance parameters and close the gap to pre-silicon estimations for logic and RAMs

• Be involved in design and verification of Custom Circuit IPs to improve the power, performance, silicon correlation and security of NVIDIA CPU, GPU and Networking chips

• Participate in discussion with various teams to understand challenges related to SRAM/RF macros ( Vmin, Vmax, VF, Yield, spice modelling, silicon debug) and propose innovative solutions.

• Understanding of existing circuit methodologies for logic/RAMs and suggest improvements.

• This role includes interacting with several global teams across geographies, understanding various methodologies and improving silicon correlation of logic and RAM circuits.

• Be a mentor/technical lead for junior team members.

What we need to see:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the area of memory design, Circuit design

• Have sound fundamentals of CMOS devices, RC circuits, transistor level circuit design, timing concepts involving dynamic and sequential circuits.

• Solid hands-on experience in SRAM/RF/ROM design involving SPICE simulations, variation/selftime/bitcell/SA analysis.

• Ability to close design to the specs by running and developing various flows like EM, IR, Noise, and static timing analysis (STA)

• Proficient in Perl/Python or equivalent scripting language is a huge advantage.

• Knowledge of STA and Silicon debug is a huge plus.

• Good interpersonal skills ; should be an excellent teammate.

• BE/M-Tech in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent experience.

Role Description

This is a contract role for an Intern: Analog Circuit Design. The intern will assist in designing, testing, and analyzing electronic circuits and systems. Day-to-day tasks include supporting the development of new electronic circuits, troubleshooting existing designs, and collaborating with the engineering team. This position is on-site and located in Bengaluru.

Duration: 6 Months

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware design flow (Circuit simulation, Schematic capture, Layout)
• Working knowledge of microcontroller architectures (any one of ARM, AVR, MSP430, 8051 and its variants)
• Good knowledge of electronic circuit design using signal chain building blocks like Op-Amps, ADCs & DACs.
• Good knowledge of electronic circuit design using discrete semiconductors (BJT, MOSFET, Diodes)
• Strong understanding of passive component (resistor, capacitor, inductor) characteristics.

Key skills with hand on:Analog Circuit ,LDOs, Bandgap reference, Current Generators, POR ,ADC/DAC ,PLL, Oscillators , Serdes ,Die to Die connect, High Speed.

Detailed JD:

1)Experience in entire Analog IP development including circuit design, layout, AMS verification and characterization

2) Must have led the entire Analog IP development cycle and team

3) Circuit Design implementation of IPs including LDOs, Band Gap reference, Current Generators, POR, ADC/DACs, PLLs, Oscillators, General Purpose IOs, Temperature sensor, SERDES, PHYs, Die to Die interconnect, High-speed IOs etc

4) Analog/custom layout design in advanced CMOS process

5) Ability to understand design constraints and implement high-quality layouts

6) Conceptualize and implement chip-level mixed signal simulation environments (testbenches, run scripts, etc.)

8) Hands-on experience on lower FINFET technology nodes and design/PPA trade offs

Job Description:

1. B.Tech or M.Tech. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from an institute of repute.

2. 2 + years of experience in Analog and SERDES IP Circuit Design.

3. The candidate should have relevant experience in following Analog IPs like GPIO, RCOMP, ADC, DAC, LDO, PLL, Thermal Sensor, Voltage Monitor, Process Monitor and their blocks and SERDES IPs i.e. DLL, PLL, Clocking path Analysis, SERDES System Design and Analysis, Power Delivery Analysis, Transmitter (With or without equalization FFE), Receiver (with equalization – CTLE, DFE), Channel Analysis, LDO, RCOMP, Sensors – Process Monitor, Temp Sensor, Voltage Sensor, GPIOs, High Speed View / Test IOs, DFX, High Speed ADC etc.

4. The candidate should have knowledge of one of the following SERDES protocols i.e. DDR IO, UCIe, PCIe, HBMIO, HDMI, MIPI – CDPHY, HDMI etc.

5. The candidate should be well versed with the design tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre / HSpice Simulators, High Speed Simulator APS/XA, Waveform viewer etc.

6. Knowledge and expertise in .lib generation and other views generation will be preferred.

7. Expertise in any scripting language (e.g. PERL, TCL, Python, SKILL) will be also be preferred.

8. The candidate necessarily should have very good communication skills and should be a team player.

9. The candidate should be having problem solving approach and should be able to report blocking issues during the project, as required.
