Manages or performs work associated with identifying and planning the implementation of improvements to warehousing processes by adopting methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity and eventually build a culture of continuous improvement, including but not limited to:
- Identifying enhancements to stock movement and storage
- Identifying and defining new approaches and systems for stock movement and inventory management.

A valued team member is heading off on maternity leave, creating an opportunity for a capable Procurement & Inventory Controller to step into this contract role and keep essential materials flowing.

Reporting to the Planning & Inventory Manager, responsible for the procurement process from demand planning through ordering, ensuring material costs meet production fit budget. On the inventory side, you are responsible for monitoring, planning and ensuring optimal stock levels.

Engaged and highly visible, you’ll work closely with the Manager, Production Planner/S&OP Specialist and across the operation to understand demand and the nuances of the process and customer trends.

Working closely with production, planning, logistics and supply partners, you’ll raise orders, monitor inventory levels, plan material needs, and help ensure continuity across a busy manufacturing operation. The work is varied, detail-driven and fast-moving. It demands strong coordination, commercial thinking and the ability to solve problems on the run and stay one step ahead.

Experience in manufacturing procurement and inventory planning is essential, along with solid Excel skills and confidence in ERP systems (SAP ideal).

1 Overall inventory management & Systems control.

2 Strict compliance of all internal finance control, systems & processes.

3 Overall SAP system implementation & Control.

4 Item master costing for materials in SAP through cost run.

5 Verification of COGS production order wise & reconciliation of all production orders on daily/weekly/monthly.

6 Verification of Production Booking and reconciliation of production orders with BOM and actual consumption.

7 Controlling all the GRN and Materail movement process and Maintaining the Dashboard of all the Pending GRN's and getting the MIRO's done on time.

8 Handling the Physical stock verification of inventory (RM & FG) and rectifying any differences after appropriate approvals.

9 Co-ordinating with the auditors for physical verification of inventory and analyzing the physical verification report and taking appropriate measures as suggested by auditors & Management.

10 Cycle counting of inventory and correcting any differences after appropriate approvals.

11 Co-ordinating with inter dept (Quality/Production/Logistics) for any pending documentation in SAP and getting this done on time.

12 BOM vs Actual verification and correction if any with planning team for any differences.

13 Verification of all MIRO postings with the team and guiding the team with appropriate inputs.

14 Freight cost/ provision analysis and handling all the accounting related works.

15 Controlling all the inventory movement across plant and monitoring the processes.

16 Helping hand to the plant team to look after all the transactions in SAP.

17 Supervision & Control of all the External warehouses & stock movement processes.

17 Standard cost v/s Actual cost analysis on monthly/ yearly basis.

17 Periodic price updation of inventory and monitoring the price movements of the FG.
