We are actively seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Executive - Inventory Planner to join our client's team through Acme Services . This pivotal role is responsible for developing comprehensive short-term and long-term supply plans, optimizing inventory levels across all Supply Chain Management (SCM) units, and ensuring seamless operations. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to identify trends, recommend procurement strategies for various seasons and campaigns, and collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to forecast demand accurately.

• Supply Plan Development : Develop detailed weekly and monthly supply plans by product, article, and brand . These plans will be based on demand estimations received from relevant stakeholders to procure the required level of inventory and ensure the smooth operations of supply chain units.
• Long-Term Inventory Strategy : Develop long-term inventory plans for SCM units by taking into account various considerations such as catchment preferences, peak seasons, planned campaigns, and market trends .
• Procurement Recommendation : Identify the volume and type of inventory that needs to be procured and up-stocked during seasons, festivals, and campaigns, and recommend the same to the Head of Supply Inventory Planning .
• Inventory Monitoring & Optimization : Constantly monitor the amount of inventory available across SCM units (buffer stock) to effectively manage its utilization and avoid over/under stocking .
• Data Analysis & Insights : Leverage data through analytics dashboards , identify trends , and draw meaningful insights . These insights will help create robust short-term and long-term supply and inventory management plans for the SCM units.
• Process Improvement : Study existing supply and inventory management processes in SCM units, analyze the root cause of any identified issues , and provide suggestions for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
• Demand Planning & Inventory Buys : Utilize current and historical shipment information, market trends, and POS (Point-of-Sale) data to develop demand plans and execute inventory buys .
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with internal sales and operations teams to develop specific forecasts down to the SKU-level and anticipate changes which can impact planning .

• Proven expertise in developing weekly and monthly supply plans .
• Strong ability to create long-term inventory plans considering market dynamics.
• Skilled in identifying and recommending procurement volumes for various periods.
• Proficiency in monitoring and managing buffer stock to prevent over/under stocking.
• Adept at leveraging data from analytics dashboards to draw insights for planning.
• Experience in studying existing processes, analyzing root causes, and providing improvement suggestions .
• Competence in using shipment information, market trends, and POS data for demand planning and inventory buys .
• Excellent collaboration skills with sales and operations teams for SKU-level forecasting .

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in inventory planning, supply chain management, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Supply and Inventory Planner will contribute to coordinating long term supply chain strategies across networks to address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals. In this role, you will monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data and help coordinate cross functional work teams to meet high customer service standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Maintain data relevant to network distribution planning activities including capacity, constraint, logistics, supplier, master and location data.
• Generate and execute cycle and safety stock plans for the assigned product or location, using the approved supply plan inputs. Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages.
• Create requirements plan and long-term supply plan for assigned products and locations as input for the integrated business planning cycle.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff & relevant stake holders.
• SNOE/SNOP/IBP meeting coordination & execution
• Knowledge on SCDO (Supply Chain design optimization)
• Required weekly/Monthly plant visits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Graduate with MBA/PGD in SC
• 5 years in SC Planning functions and min 3 years in Supply and Inventory Planning role
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of experience with at least one in supply and inventory planning preferably from Feed, FMCG and Animal Nutrition Business.
• Tools: MS office , SAP or similar ERP , PPDS Tool, SAP IBP (added advantage) or equivalent planning tool

What you will do

1. Coordinate, communicate, and align

   • Drive consistent execution processes for supply planning activities related to turnaround planning regionally and across business units.

   • Critically assess and analyze data (demand plans, inventory reports, supply plans, consumption plans, lead time) and understand implications – recognize deviations from the normal and make connections to correct.

   • Liaise between EMTech, EMPS, Upstream, Procurement and Supply Chain.

2. Lead the execution process based upon the demand plan

   • Align on changes to demand/supply plan, understand lead time implications to demand plan

   • Executes Security of Supply mitigation plan for materials

   • Places all orders (requisitions/reservations) in order to fulfil supply plan, liaises with Suppliers and Procurement on performance of ordering and delivery process, liaises with site representatives (including third parties) to ensure orders are delivered per schedule, stored and consumed.

   • Manages the return of any contingency material

   • Recommends changes to the supply planning process based upon execution experiences

About You

 Skills & Qualifications

• Strong background in engineering, supply chain, statistics and/or analytics. 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain (or related fields such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics)

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in supply chain demand planning

• Experience supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas)

• 3 years or more of experience post-secondary school graduation

• Experience supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations

• Experience do you have supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations within the Oil & Gas industry

• Experienced in conducting analyses and providing data-driven recommendations for S&OP processes

• Proficiency  with extracting information from ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and utilize MS Excel to generate data insights

• Strong background in analytics

• Strong and effective interpersonal skills

• Function effectively in a team environment, including virtual environments is critical

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including conceptual capabilities

• Strong judgment, including ability to make quality decisions
