The Networking Remote Technical Support Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a professional remote technical support service to clients by identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.
Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, this role will restore service to clients by driving incidents to an effective resolution and ensuring all requests, process events and resolution incidents result in zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions.
**Key responsibilities:**

+ Remotely investigates and identifies root cause of incidents and assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
+ Maintains knowledge of specific specialisms, provides detailed advice regarding their application.
+ Ensures efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents, including ensuring that repairs are carried out by coordinating product requests, working with other team members.
+ Provides continuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update all systems, portals and ticketing tools as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
+ Cooperates with all stakeholders including client IT environments, vendors, carriers and colleagues to expedite diagnosis of errors and problems and to identify a resolution.
+ Creation of knowledge articles in incident diagnosis/resolution and assist with updating as and when required.
+ Upgrades skills and enhances knowledge on latest products and technologies and complete required Certification.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    An energetic person who is capable of leading Validation and Systems testing of New product development and/or sustaining programs. Deliver the product with quality.

    • QA Engineer supporting the continued design, development, and quality delivery of firmware & software applications for the Fire Team .
    • Knowledge on Fire Domain is must. Candidate must have experience with Testing/ Commissioning /Technically supporting Fire Panels and devices.
    • Basic knowledge on Hardware Simulators
    • Good at manual and automated test execution in embedded and software systems. Good understanding of SDLC, defect life cycle
    • Experience in understanding requirements traceability matrix & and validate system interface at consumer level
    • Experience in automation testing and hands-on in developing automation framework
    • Experience in testing different communication protocols such as CID, SIA, TAP, CMS, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, BACnet, Modbus etc.
    • Good Working knowledge of Test Management Tools Ex. HPQC/IBM/Jira
    • Good experiences in Performing Regression Testing to verify and uncover new errors in legacy code after changes have been made
    • Create Manual test cases/automation test scripts, Document and Execute the test cases that conform to the technical and functional specifications for firmware and Software applications
    • Document and present test results as per the QA policies and procedures
    • Contributes ideas on product and process improvements. Participates in design review sessions
    • Implements appropriate automation technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the company including test frameworks
    • Adhere to the Automation Framework for Fire domain products and enhancements

    EDUCATION PREFERRED:

    BE/ME or B.Tech./M.Tech. in Electronics/Communication/Electrical Engineering

    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

    Minimum 10 years software quality assurance experience required as below:

    • Essential Competencies:
    • Experience in Embedded Software Quality Assurance SQA.
    • Experience in System Testing from End to End.
    • Experience in Cloud based Connected Solutions is value add.
    • Experience in testing different communication protocols such as, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, BACnet, Modbus etc.
    • Cross-platform embedded QA experience with Microcontrollers and tool chains.
    • Understanding of functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Experience utilizing Agile Software Process Techniques
    • Relentless root cause/troubleshooting experience.
    • Desirable Competencies:
    • Involved in different phases of product development life cycle, including requirements gathering, backlog grooming, risk analysis, planning, scheduling, test strategy, test environment, test execution, defect management, test reporting, deployment support and production issue analysis support.
    • Experience in embedded software quality assurance for Fire applications from concept through to production.
    • Working knowledge on IBM Rational Tool chain; DNG, RTC, RQM or HPQC or Jira
    • Knowledge of Hardware related testing
    • Knowledge of end to end test Management process including Python scripting
    • Knowledge of IoT or data analytics
