Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies for telecommunication networks.
- Design, deploy, and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Monitor network traffic for security breaches and suspicious activities.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate security best practices into network designs.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on network security matters and contribute to security architecture reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network security, with a specialization in telecommunications networks.
- Deep understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with various security technologies such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco), IDS/IPS, WAF, and VPN.
- Proficiency in security monitoring tools and SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Experience with threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of telecom network architecture (5G, LTE, Core, RAN) and associated security challenges.
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple security projects simultaneously.
