Job Purpose:
As an Industrial Designer at Royal Enfield you will be influential in all stages of the development of new motorcycles, from research and concept creation in 2D through to 3D surface development and supporting the Engineering team into production.
You will be expected to come up with creative solutions whilst adhering to brand strategy, packaging, ergonomic and timing constraints. You will be able to communicate proposals visually through sketches & 3D models and collaborate with other teams to ensure your design intent is followed through, both in the vehicle production as well as in supporting on-bike accessory creation.

Function: Product Strategy and Industrial Design
- What you’ll do: Devise innovative and exciting Industrial Design proposals in response to the Product strategy vision for future line-up models as described in the SBP
- Propose creative solutions whilst adhering to brand strategy, packaging, ergonomic and timing constraints
- Communicate proposals visually through sketches & 3D models, both digitally and physically
- Collaborate with CAS team to provide A surface data to wider Product Development team for production
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and create an ideation sketch by working with the product strategy team
- Provide Industrial Design support to Product Development in order to preserve Design intent through the development process
- Lead and manage whole bike design projects from concept to production, reporting progress to the Programme Management team and presenting to Senior management at project gate reviews.
- Support Concept Engineering, Post ICE Whole Vehicle Concept Model Design, Custom and Concept projects as necessary
- Manage ID Studio styling, modelling and CAS activities and provide additional support to all studio activities
What you'll bring:
Experience: 7-10 years’ experience in an Automotive OEM or Independent Studio working with OEMs.
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.
