We’re looking for a Pilot Engineer to scale up our benchtop processes by operating and executing experiments on pilot scale equipment.
You’ll be responsible for translating lab-scale extraction, separation, and drying processes into reliable, repeatable pilot-scale operations. You’ll own day-to-day running of our pilot line, process optimization, and data collection — working closely with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing partners to bridge R&D and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain pilot-scale equipment including centrifuges, filtration systems, reactors, dryers, and mixers
- Use engineering design, data-driven optimization, and process innovation
- Execute and document pilot runs following process parameters and safety standards
- Support commissioning, calibration, and preventive maintenance of equipment
- Draft and maintain SOPs, batch records, and scale-up reports

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our OIG (Operations Integrity Governance) team at the Mumbai Head Office. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who thrives on technical assurance, cross-discipline collaboration and improving operational reliability across offshore assets.
What You Will Do
- Ensure adherence to HSSE policies and model exemplary safe behaviours.
- Provide discipline input into Asset Integrity , Brownfield Projects , and Operations & Maintenance activities.
- Support Management of Change (MoC) activities and follow up on engineering actions.
- Participate in Operations Risk Assessments, HAZID/HAZOP and other risk/HSSE workshops.
- Review concession requests and act as Barrier Owner for assigned Safety Critical Elements (SCEs).
- Monitor process facility performance vs design envelope and SCE performance standards.
- Deliver design verification (including third-party verification) for SCE-related elements.
- Provide day-to-day technical advice to operations and support incident investigations / root cause analysis.
- Prepare and review process engineering deliverables, scopes of work and consultant outputs; monitor progress and advise corrective actions.
- Participate in procurement (ITT, vendor technical evaluations, pre-qualification).
- Support development of Operations Assurance Plans, readiness for handover and commissioning.
- Assist in preparation and review of operating manuals for piping and ancillary equipment.
- Undertake base support and offshore travel as required and complete mandated offshore trainings/exams.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Process Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience & Technical Skills
- 15–20 years of in-depth process engineering design experience for offshore oil & gas production facilities (FPSO experience preferred). Offshore facilities design experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international codes & standards used in process design.
- Proficient with process simulation and design tools such as UNISIM HYSYS, PIPESIM, FLARESIM, FLARENET, PIPENET, HTRI Xchanger .
- Skilled in hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, PSV sizing, relief & blowdown, HIPPS, HP/LP interfaces and all elements of process safety in design .
- Experience in hydrate management and flow assurance for Deepwater/subsea wells. Knowledge of mercury removal is an advantage.
- Prior experience within an Oil & Gas Operating Company is a significant advantage.

Clarity on IBR and ASME codes and standards, expertise in Thermal design of Boilers (especially Solid fuel fired CFBC, AFBC, travelling grate, PC Fired Boilers). Knowledge on fuel & Ash characteristics, sizing of rotary equipment’s like fans, BFP’s, feeders, water & steam piping sizing, balance of plant equipment like coal & ash handling, duct sizing, etc. Understanding of Air compressor, steam turbine etc. Experience in Oil to Gas conversion, WHRB & Waste to Energy Boilers.
