What Would This Role Entail?

  • Keeping track of current events and policy issues
  • Using the internet, libraries and other sources to perform research on subjects to do with politics
  • Liaising and gathering information from relevant experts in various fields, digesting the inputs and presenting the same in an aesthetic, concise and easily understandable manner
  • Analyzing and interpreting the information you gather
  • Writing reports and briefings, composing media releases and newsletters
  • Providing responses to information requests from politicians and the public
  • Maintaining archives and files that you might need for future research

The Lab Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for performing routine technical laboratory experiments and procedures, document results and maintains records/logs, makes observations and calculations, and prepares data for analysis. Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots defects, and evaluates performance of laboratory equipment, inventory, budget, and general operations. In consultation with management, establishes good laboratory practices and procedures that comply with regulatory agencies. Ensures laboratory environment and practices comply with guidelines set forth by company and regulatory agencies.
This position is part of the R&D IOT located in IDC and will be Onsite.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Setting up, calibration, maintenance, sterilization of laboratory equipment, and maintain masterlist for all BEC Dx instruments.
+ Record all experimental data and test results in the required electronic templates and formats
+ Handle samples, Testing and maintaining the BEC Dx instruments
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ A Bachelor's in a relevant scientific field, such as Engineering, Biomedical or Medical Laboratory Technology
+ 3+ years of experience managing the lab operations for R&D projects
+ Proven experience in diagnostic or IVD laboratory setting, or relevant specialized labs.
+ Experience in operating diverse electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment and safely handling potentially dangerous substances, including biohazards and chemicals.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experience in medical device, IVD instrumentation such as clinical chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, urinalysis, molecular microbiology or flow cytometry systems
+ Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA Class II).
