The Role

The City of Launceston has created a new Strategic Land Use Planning team to lead big-picture, long term planning for how and where the city develops.

After recently appointing a Principal Strategic Land Use Planner, the team is now recruiting for 2 x Senior Strategic Land Use Planners to work on diverse projects including:

  • Implementation projects to deliver strong housing supply
  • Finalising St Leonards and Waverley Neighbourhood Plan and Infrastructure Funding Framework and progressing with the scheme amendment
  • Kicking off Neighbourhood Plan projects for residential growth areas
  • Scoping out an employment land strategy
  • And many more!

The team is looking for passionate Planners who work well in a team, project management champions with strong focus on relationships and collaboration. The ideal candidates will have a background in strategic planning in local or state government or consulting.
