- Experience of applying current design standards, guidance and good working practices to the design of external spaces;
- A strong understanding of the Canadian Landscape Standard, published by the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, latest edition (to be provided);
- Experience in the production of landscape information for infrastructure and development projects, ranging from site audit/concept design and feasibility studies, including production of detailed information for tender and construction including hard and soft landscape plans, grading, construction detailing, planting schedules and specifications;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of project types; and,
- Knowledge of relevant industry legislation, health and safety/CDM regulations, contracts and tendering procedures.
+ Experience in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit (3D Modelling) and Microstation associated software for production of technical information;
+ Experience working in BIM Level 2 environment using BIM 360 Document Manager or Projectwise or similar/equivalent;
+ Experience in the use of Adobe design suite (Inc. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and GIS for production of maps, graphics and reports;
+ Strong 3D visualization skills including proficiency in Sketchup, Lumion, 3DSMax, etc.;
+ Masters of Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent;
+ Fluent English speaker with excellent spoken, written and graphic communication skills;
+ Ability to speak and write French would be an added benefit; and,
+ Proven experience and technical capability gained within a professional consultancy or local authority environment.

- Assist in the conceptualization and design of landscape architecture projects, including parks, urban plazas, green roofs, and public gardens.
- Conduct site analyses and assessments, including environmental and ecological studies to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with senior architects and landscape designers to develop design plans, drawings, and presentations.
- Prepare detailed landscape design documents, including planting plans, material specifications, and construction details.
- Research and recommend appropriate plant species, materials, and sustainable practices that align with project goals.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and documentation for project submissions.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other consultants during project implementation to ensure design fidelity.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in landscape architecture and sustainability.
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, with min 2 to max 4 years of field expreince.
- Proven experience in landscape design with relevant professional project work.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS applications. Revit is preferable.
- Strong understanding of landscape ecology, plant materials, and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work and creative approaches to landscape design.
