Skills and Experience Required
· Degree in Architecture, Landscape Designing, Exterior Designing.
· Ability to manage contractor and gardening staff on Landscape Design projects, give instructions and get work done
· Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, maintain schedule and manage projects varying from time to time
· Should be willing to travel within the city to monitor projects.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Establishing general landscape requirements with clients;
· Conducting preliminary inspection of the site and assessing a site s potential to meet the client s specifications;
· Accurately preparing and presenting detailed plans and working drawings, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project using computer-aided design (CAD) packages or similar design software;
· Creating and presenting design proposals to clients, dealing with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to the final design
· Matching the clients wishes with your knowledge of what will work best
· Contacting and coordinating manufacturers and suppliers for Landscaping work and garden accessories.
· Making site visits;
· Ensuring deadlines are met;
· Liaising with other professionals on the project;
· Monitoring and checking work on-site
· Attending public inquiries to give evidence if necessary;
· Generating new business opportunities.
· Supervises and directs grounds personnel by establishing schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring and reviewing projects to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
· Decides on the planting scheme for Landscape Designing
