Job Description: Layout Engineer / Manager Layout Development

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Layout Engineer to join our International Engineering Centre (IEC) team in Bangalore. This role involves developing renewable energy plant layout (Windfarm, Battery Energy Storage Systems and Green Hydrogen Solutions) from feasibility and conceptual stage to detailed engineering and issue layout and related drawings. The layout engineer ensures adherence to the standards and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Feasibility, conceptual and detailed plant layout.
• Study of the site conditions to develop the layout.
• Plan and prepare layout to analyze the space requirement, road access, location of equipment, buildings and other infrastructure required for the plant.
• Collaborate with Equipment Design Engineering team, design disciplines, Clients, consultants, Statutory authorities, Vendors and other stakeholders to develop the layout.
• Optimize the plant layout to ensure cost effective layout solutions are developed without compromising construability, Operability and maintainability of the plant.
• Ensure that plant layout design follows the international codes & standards, local country codes, client / consultant or Envisions standards and specifications.
• Ensure Engineering deliverables and construction packages are developed and issued to the construction team.
• Plan and lead interdisciplinary reviews and review with Clients / consultants, Construction team etc.
• Work closely with EPC companies for the outsourced projects as owner layout engineer to ensure compliance to design standards and local country codes.
• Review vendor documents and incorporate the details in the layout.
• Coordinate with Design team to develop the Material Take off and support cost estimation.
• Prepare as-built drawings and issuance to Operations and Maintenance Team and Client.
• Address all site queries during construction.
• Responsible for overall document management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related fields.
• Proven experience (8 - 15 years) as Plant layout engineer in Renewable energy or as Piping Layout engineer with experience in Oil& Gas, Petrochemical Industries or related fields who has strong passion to learn the renewal energy sector is eligible for this role.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle challenging situations and addressing issues encountered during project development stage though implementation.
• Proficiency in English is a must. Knowledge of other language is an advantage.
• Ability to effectively communicate with international teams, and all management level levels.
• Experience in working with multinational company is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and should complement teamwork.

What you'll be doing:

• Execute IC layout of cutting edge, high-performance, high-speed CMOS integrated circuits in foundry CMOS process nodes in 3nm, 5nm, 7nm and lower nodes following industry best practices.

• Deliver layouts for Circuit Solutions Group specializing in digital cum analog IPs.

• IP layout will comprise of significant digital components and some analog components.

• Adopting and putting in place best layout practices/methodology for composing Analog and digital layouts

• Follow company procedures and practices for IC layout activities.

What we need to see:

• 2+ years of experience in high performance analog layout in advanced CMOS process.

• BE/M-Tech in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent experience.

• Thorough knowledge of industry standard EDA tools for Cadence.

• Experience with layout of high-performance analog blocks such as Current mirrors, Sense Amps, bandgaps etc. is required.

• Knowledge in analog design and layout guidelines, high speed IO, (matching devices, symmetrical layout, signal shielding, other analog specific guidelines)

• Experience with floor planning, block level routing and macro level assembly.

• Knowledge of high-performance analog layout techniques such as common centroid layout, matching, symmetrical layout, signal shielding, use of dummy devices, thermal aware layout with consideration for electro migration and other analog specific guidelines.

• Demonstrated experience with analog layout for silicon chips in mass production.

• Background with sub-micron design in foundry CMOS nodes 7nm finfet and below is preferred.

• Experience working in distributed design team is a plus.

• Requires self-starter with the ability to define and adhere to a schedule.

Analog Layout Design Engineer with 3+ years of relevant work experience

You will be doing Analog Layout in advanced process technologies, serving global Semiconductor product MNC clients.
