**Job Description**
**Roles & Responsibilities**
+ Activities will include development of new designs and/or supporting enhancements to existing designs of X Ray Generation Devices by specifying SW / Algo / HW requirements followed by characterization, product integration and manufacturing transfer
+ The candidate is expected to gain a detailed functional understanding of the entire product, act independently, devise and drive innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems.
+ Execute design using sound Physics principles & scientific tools
+ Develop test plans & perform testing & verification of designs, perform design calculations to support design work and lead technical design reviews
+ Work as a part of a team including cross functional team members & suppliers to deliver technical solutions
+ Work with customers and/or technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
+ Seeks mentoring to learn and solve problems
+ Lead development of new techniques & methodologies for designing Electron Emission & focusing sub systems
+ Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
+ Developing and maintaining X Ray Generation subsystem quality and engineering project funnel
+ Defining and executing component design verification
+ Maintain and develop competence required for the job
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ MS (Physics), PhD in Electron Optics / Experimental Physics / Nuclear Physics / Applied Physics
+ PhD in Charged Particle Beam Design and X-Ray Physics, with over 2 years of hands-on experience in designing charged particle beam systems, electron optics, and laser optics
