Position Available: Assistant Learning Facilitator (Early Childhood/Preschool)
Full-Time: Preschool
Location(s): Bangalore (Kannuru, Hennur-Bagalur Road, North Bangalore)
Training and Probation Period: 1 year
Working Days: Monday-Friday 7.45am-5.30pm and alternate Sat are working
Brief about our novel approach to learning:
At Sparkling Mindz, we believe children are capable and curious learners and learn best through play. Play is serious work for children. The more they play, the more they connect and discover things about the world around them. We follow a Reggio-Emilia-inspired philosophy in our preschool and school. Working with young children involves us bringing our whole selves to learn, play, and grow with them. It involves documenting, reflecting, and continuous learning of various ways in which children play, think, and learn to empower them to discover their potential.
Job Description:
· Support the planning of the learning outcomes through play, lesson plans & resources
· Support the execution of learning in classes, observation of children and submission of updates and reports
· Record and document children's observations and class updates on a daily basis
· Collaborate with the entire team to deliver the learning outcomes in a creative and connected manner
· Interact with peers to cross-apply learnings in different areas and co-teach classes based on peer discussions and mentor feedback
· Support the iteration of lesson plans, discovery of new forms of play etc. to improve the learning process
· Attend regular team meetings/training sessions on weekdays/weekends
· Commit to self-development through reading, upskilling and joyful discovery through play
· Bring new methods and inspiring ways to deliver classes for peer discussions
Qualifications and Qualities Required
• Graduation/Post Graduation from any recognised University (Any prior relevant experience or Early Childhood Education diploma is a plus if you can showcase value)
• Demonstrate extensive and deep knowledge of the learning area applied for
• Demonstrate a flexible, empathetic and creative approach towards teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Any previous training or counselling experience or a psychology background is a plus (need to be open to working with groups and NOT one on one counselling)
• Demonstrable skills in creative writing, public speaking, singing, dancing or other hobbies are a plus
• Knowledge of MS-Office Word, Excel and Power point and an overall fluency with technology is a must

Brief about our novel approach to subjects:
At Sparkling Mindz, children find meaning and purpose in their learning experiences and to enable that we have transformed the subjects into learning areas where each learning area carries with it the purpose and the application of learning it too. For example: English/Hindi is learned as LAC (Language Arts and Communication – English/Hindi/Kannada/Spanish/Chinese etc), Math as MPD (Math Problem Solving and Design), Science as SIE (Scientific Inquiry and Experimentation), Social Studies as CWE (Citizenship, World and Entrepreneurship) and Computer Science as DLI (Digital Literacy and Innovation).
