We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal and Compliance Officer to join our team in Bangalore.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and compliance within the technology or software industry.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and guidance on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including software licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Oversee and manage company policies related to corporate compliance, ethics, and risk management.
- Conduct legal research and provide updates on new laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with various departments (R&D, Marketing, Sales) to provide legal advice and support.
- Handle employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts and handling disputes.
- Manage external legal counsel and liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.

Job duties:
- 1. Providing legal assistance for the recovery of the client's unclaimed financial investments in shares/debentures/UTI/FDs/bank accounts/dividends.
2. Drafting of legal documents like affidavits, indemnity bonds, transmission forms, as required under SEBI/IEPF Rules or Companies Act/Indian Succession Act.
4. Coordinating with clients spread across India and across the globe for the execution of documents for necessary compliances.
5. Should be well-versed with MS-Office.
Additional CS qualification will be helpful. Experience in Legal drafting is preferred.
