- Having good knowledge on labor laws and regulations in India (e.g., Industrial Disputes Act, Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, etc.).
- Manage and maintain compliance tools to ensure timely compliances by all respective departments and generate periodical report, identify the gaps and co-ordination with respective teams to keep update compliance status in to the system to mitigate the associated risks.

Responsibilities
Regulatory
Compliance & Risk Management:
•Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, AMFI,
and RERA regulations relevant to the company’s operations.
•Keep abreast of evolving laws and regulatory
guidelines affecting DSAs, corporate insurance agencies, mutual fund
distributors and real estate brokerage.
•Develop and implement risk mitigation
strategies to safeguard company operations.
•Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
Contract
Management & Documentation:
•Draft, review, and negotiate agreements
including loan distribution agreements, insurance distribution contracts,
mutual fund agreements and real estate brokerage agreements.
•Ensure all business contracts are legally sound
and aligned with regulatory requirements.
•Maintain proper documentation for business
transactions and client agreements.
Litigation &
Dispute Resolution:
•Manage legal disputes, litigation, and
arbitration proceedings.
•Represent the company in legal matters and
coordinate with external legal counsel when required.
•Handle customer complaints and regulatory
inquiries in coordination with compliance teams.
Corporate
Governance & Advisory:
•Advise the leadership team on legal risks, corporate
policies, and governance frameworks.
•Ensure adherence to corporate governance best
practices.
•Assist in board and shareholder meetings by
providing legal opinions and necessary documentation.
Team
Leadership & Training:
•Lead the legal department and foster seamless
coordination with all internal departments to ensure legal compliance across
business operations.
•Conduct legal training sessions for employees
to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Ǫualifications
& Skills:
•LLB/LLM from a reputed institution.
•Minimum 8-10 years of experience in legal
roles, preferably in financial services, NBFCs, insurance, mutual funds or real

•Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Manager to lead our legal, regulatory, and secretarial efforts. This role is critical to enabling smooth operations and sustainable growth across geographies. You will collaborate closely with leadership and external legal experts, ensuring the company is fully compliant while supporting strategic business decisions, global expansions, and cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor, employment, IP, partnership, SaaS, and global service contracts.
- Global Legal Advisory: Provide guidance on international contracts and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), cross-border employment practices, and IP rights.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable Indian and international laws (Companies Act, IT Act, labor laws, foreign commercial law implications, etc.).
- Secretarial Compliance: Manage all company secretarial duties, board meetings, statutory filings, minutes, ROC compliance , in collaboration with external CS advisors.
- Risk Management: Maintain a structured legal risk framework including legal repository, regulatory trackers, and audit preparedness.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external counsel, company secretaries, and advisors across jurisdictions; track and ensure timely deliverables.
- Strategic Legal Support: Assist in fundraising, due diligence, investor relations, and corporate restructuring.
- Proactive Mitigation: Identify potential legal and regulatory risks; develop and implement mitigation strategies to protect business interests.
Requirements
Requirements- LLB from a recognized institution (Company Secretary certification is a strong plus)
- 3–5 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in high-growth startups or law firms
- Proven expertise in commercial contract negotiation, global contract law, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with cross-border transactions and international legal frameworks is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of corporate governance practices
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
