Job Description and Key Requirements:
- Experience of teaching semester-length courses in Property Law | Family Law| Law of Crimes | Civil Procedure Code | Evidence Law/BSA | Environmental Law | ADR | in B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. Hons.
- Prior teaching of core and/or elective courses should be supported by student evaluation/feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students in their learning, research, writing, and/or tutorials.
- Ability to offer core courses, design electives, and curate specialization courses for law students.
- Willing to play an active role in institution building, including new academic thinking, innovative pedagogical techniques, and use of new technologies in teaching courses in 5-year LLB programmes.
- Ability to articulate a clear research agenda and pursue academic research which can culminate in original scholarship which is published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and other platforms.
- Fulfil the mandated academic duties in an organized and timely manner related to internal assessments, evaluation, feedback, examinations with integrity and commitment.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- Excellent academic record and a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
- Qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET
- We prefer candidates who have been recently awarded a Ph.D. degree in law, or are currently close to submission/award, or are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. at a reputed university
Additional Preferred Requirements:
- Showcase high quality scholarly research work that is published or accepted for publication in peer-reviewed and indexed journals that are prestigious in the discipline
- Exposure to teaching, research or academic project planning with researchers in prestigious national/ international universities in a collaborative manner is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong inclination towards interdisciplinary research in Law and allied areas

5. External Relations & Community Engagement
- Represent the College to alumni, legal associations, government bodies, and corporate legal departments.

- Build partnerships with bar associations, judiciary members, and public policy institutions to enhance the College’s visibility and influence.
6. Student Development & Placement
- Drive initiatives to improve student placement rates and career readiness.
- Support the establishment of moot court programs, legal aid clinics, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Leverage alumni and employer relationships to expand job and internship pipelines.
7. Rankings & Accreditation
- Develop and implement a targeted roadmap to position the College of Law among the Top 10 law schools in India within a defined timeframe.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain national and international accreditations along with recognitions in rankings (e.G., NAAC, NIRF, QS, THE rankings).
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: PhD in Law (or equivalent doctoral qualification) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in legal academia with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Dean, Associate Dean, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, academic program development, and faculty leadership.
