Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.

- Conduct comprehensive economic analysis of agricultural policies at national and regional levels, assessing their impact on production, consumption, trade, and rural livelihoods.
- Develop economic models and quantitative tools to forecast market trends, evaluate policy scenarios, and estimate economic impacts.
- Analyze agricultural data, including price series, production statistics, trade flows, and socio-economic surveys.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to government agencies, industry stakeholders, and international organizations on agricultural policy matters.
- Author research reports, policy briefs, and academic papers on key agricultural economic issues.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, agronomists, and social scientists.
- Present research findings and policy recommendations at conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Stay abreast of global agricultural trends, economic developments, and relevant policy debates.
- Mentor junior economists and research associates.
- Contribute to securing funding for research projects through proposal development.
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related field with a strong focus on agriculture.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in economic research and policy analysis, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and quantitative research methods.
- In-depth knowledge of agricultural markets, supply chains, and international trade.
- Proven ability to interpret complex economic data and translate it into clear, actionable policy recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of publishing research.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead research projects.
- Experience with statistical software packages such as Stata, R, or EViews.
- Familiarity with Indian agricultural policies and context is a strong asset.
