About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Claims team, specialising in Liability claims. The role involves managing complex, high-value liability claims (including product liability, public liability, professional indemnity, and casualty) that often span multiple years. The candidate will serve as a key liaison between clients, insurers, reinsurers, and legal teams, ensuring effective resolution and delivery of superior claims service.
Responsibilities
Claims Handling & Management
- Manage end-to-end liability claims with long-tail exposure, ensuring fair, timely, and effective settlements.
- Handle claims involving complex causation, bodily injury, property damage, and latent injury exposures.
- Review and analyse policy coverage, terms, and conditions in relation to liability claims.
Client Advocacy
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients during the claims process.
- Provide regular updates and claims status reports to clients.
- Support clients in litigation management and settlement negotiations.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with insurers, reinsurers, legal counsel, loss adjusters, and other experts to drive favourable outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the claims ecosystem.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of liability insurance products, claims processes, legal precedents, and industry trends.
- Advise internal teams and clients on complex liability exposures and emerging risks.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Post-Graduate, preferably with a background in Law, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
- 6–12 years of experience in handling long-tail liability claims (product liability, casualty, professional indemnity, public liability, etc.).
- Experience with multinational clients and complex claims environments.
- Strong knowledge of liability policy wordings, claim settlement processes, and dispute resolution.
Required Skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
