Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Fleet Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their diverse transportation fleet in Kolkata, West Bengal, IN . This critical role involves ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of all vehicles within the company's fleet. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fleet management best practices, logistics, and regulatory compliance within the transportation industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing a team of drivers and support staff, and ensuring adherence to schedules and delivery targets. Key duties include monitoring vehicle maintenance schedules, managing fuel consumption, optimizing routing and dispatching, and implementing safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with traffic laws and industry standards. You will also be tasked with analyzing fleet performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. This includes managing relationships with external vendors, such as maintenance providers and fuel suppliers, to secure favorable terms and ensure service quality. Budget management and cost control will be a significant aspect of this role, requiring a sharp focus on financial performance. Collaboration with other departments, including supply chain, customer service, and finance, is essential to ensure seamless integration of fleet operations with broader business objectives. - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management and transportation operations.
- Proven experience in managing large and diverse vehicle fleets.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and related technologies.
