Role – Demand & Capacity manager
Introduction to SC/IPK:
- The preventive safeguarding of the planned MBC production program is the top priority of your responsibility. To this end, you will actively control demand/capacity management in order to secure changes in demand and capacities in the long and medium-term time horizon.
- You will also be responsible for the overall coordination and determination of quantity and capacity requirements as part of the preparation for the award of contracts, using strategic production planning figures.
- As part of the contract award preparation process, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and determination of unit and capacity requirements in a cross-functional environment using strategic production planning figures. You will make a significant contribution to securing supplier capacities for new product projects and model maintenance for all Mercedes-Benz architectures. This is what you can expect from us: • You will be part of a cross-team project team in which you will be responsible for the topics of supply of the award process (VVP) and change management capacity design (ÄmKap) • You will manage the holistic coordination of requirements assessment in a cross-functional environment with specialist purchasing, supplier management, model line management, development, sales, AMG and VAN • You will be responsible for the complex process of determining quantity and capacity requirements as part of the award preparation for all Mercedes-Benz Cars architectures • Through a very good understanding of the technical documentation, you will transfer it into the sales offer logic in order to enable an evaluation by sales. • Using your basic mathematical understanding (Boolean algebra), you will set up demand variants depending on the code rules and check their plausibility with regard to the installation rates • You will determine quantity and capacity requirements for new product projects and model updates using strategic production planning figures • You will be responsible for the management and determination of (capacity) requirements over several phases of the award process - supplier selection, industrialization and supplier capacity queries • You clarify inconsistencies with partner areas to ensure a successful (capacity) needs assessment • You will provide essential added value for securing supplier capacity already in the early phase and secure it sustainably through appropriate change management
Ideally, you qualify for this job with: • Completed studies with a technical/business administration background • Professional experience in program planning, supplier management, sales or logistics • Sound knowledge of the sales order process, supply chain management and project management, project experience, product documentation • Very good knowledge of German and English • Very good knowledge of MS Office, esp. Qualifications:
+5-year subject matter experience in logistics management preferably in the transportation or distribution industry, experience in project logistics is a plus
- Experience in working with SAP HANA S4 tool (complete E2E logistics modules)
- Experience in the field of dangerous goods handling and shipping
- Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions
- Deal with volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity
