- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy, minimize discrepancies, and reduce stock-outs or overstock situations.
- Oversee the effective utilization of warehouse space and resources to optimize operational flow and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse environment, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and support.
- Manage and operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports.
- Collaborate with logistics teams, transportation providers, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy.
- Resolve operational issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, such as order fulfillment time, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly packaged, and meet customer requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to warehouse operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively in a remote oversight capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Adaptability and resilience to manage dynamic operational demands.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
