Job Title: ML Engineer - Partnership Track

About FastCode.AI: We're a 30-person AI/ML company building production systems for major clients. Half our team operates as partners - owning projects, managing P&L, and taking home percentages instead of just salaries. We believe in rapid growth through osmosis - 12 of our engineers started with zero ML experience and now lead complex projects.

About This Role: We're hiring exactly 2 ML Engineers who will join our partnership track. You don't need ML experience - our founder (PhD Max Planck, ex-Apple, ex-Weta Digital) and team will teach you. In 5-8 months, you'll be leading RAG pipelines, training models, and managing client relationships.

What You'll Do:

• Build and deploy ML systems for enterprise clients

• Own end-to-end projects from architecture to production

• Work directly with clients on requirements and delivery

• Progress from engineer to partner, managing your own P&L

• Collaborate with a team that ships code surviving Friday deploys

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who can not only build and fine-tune AI/ML models but also has the ability to integrate them into a production-ready full stack application . This is a part-time, remote role based in India , ideal for someone passionate about solving tough technical problems at the intersection of AI and semiconductors .

• Research, design, and implement AI/ML models (e.g., LLMs, transformers) for chip design automation.

• Contribute to frontend + backend development (React/Node/Python stack) to bring AI features to life.

• Strong ML/AI background:

• Solid Full Stack Development skills :
• Frontend: React.js / Angular / Vue.js

About the role:

You will work on some of the latest applications of AI to solve complex business problems and demonstrate significant business value to multiple clients. In doing so, you will closely collaborate with a team of consultants, data scientists and data engineers. You will lead the project team to design and deliver impactful solutions, drive adoption, and articulate value. On a typical work day, you could be doing one or more of the following:

• Problem solve on path to impact/value creation and troubleshooting wherever there are hurdles.
• Problem solve, coach, trouble shoot and mentor and empower data scientists on building more accurate models.
• Interface with users (across levels), senior stake holders and internal teams to ensure the models and products deliver what they are supposed to.
• Interact with the users and pre-empt problems / identify early warning signals and solve for the issues.
• Program manage at a time 5-10 delivery situations (each of which may also be across multiple sites).
• Adopt a non compromising approach to client success.
• Innovate to ensure we use cutting edge AI ML approach to model building, training and deployment.
• Collaborate with SWEs to fetch data / Data ETL and for model deployment.
• Contribute to organization building through training, mentoring and developing repeatable analytic approaches.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 years of experience as Data Scientist or similar role.
• Must have experience in computer vision.
• Hands On Knowledge of DS / ML / AI techniques - when and why they are used, tuning the model and interpretation of results from a business viewpoint.
• Good programming skills in Python with strong working knowledge of Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, tensor flow/keras, pycaret etc. Preferable experience in Auto/ Consumer goods/ retail / manufacturing/ pharma sectors.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Job Overview

Branch launched in India in early 2019 and has seen rapid adoption and growth. We are expanding our product portfolio as well as our user base in all our markets including India. We are looking for talented Machine Learning Engineers to join us and be part of this journey. You will work closely with other Engineers, Product Managers, and underwriters to develop, improve, and deploy machine learning models and to solve other optimization problems. We make extensive use of machine learning in our credit product, where it is used (among other things) for underwriting and loan servicing decisions. Responsibilities

• Credit Decisions: Core to our business is understanding and building signals from unstructured and structured data to identify good borrowers.
• Customer Service: Using machine learning and LLM/NLP, automate customer service interactions and provide context to our customer service team.
• Fraud Prevention: Identify patterns of fraudulent behavior and build models to detect and prevent these behaviors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building software in a production environment. Startup or early-stage team experience is preferred.
