Seeking: Factory Hand (Trades Assistant)

Reports to: Maintenance Fitter

Hours of work: 7 am - 3.30 pm

Salary: $52,000 package (including Super)(negotiable)

Environment: Heavy Industrial (Steel)(Furnaces)

Objective of the role:

To maintain a program of routine preventive maintenance including the recording of work completed.

To respond to break down maintenance tasks in a timely & safe manner including the recording of work completed.

To embrace and instill the company vision and philosophies of continuous improvement and total quality.

Day to day responsibilities include:

Production Engineering/Maintenance

To complete & maintain preventive maintenance activities for all plant and equipmentCarry out repairs and modifications to plant and equipment in response to a breakdown, scheduled maintenance activities and as requested by production.

Maintain a neat and tidy workplace.Maintain appropriate registers.

Complete all required forms for preventative and breakdown activities.Priority attention provided to all safety related matters in respect of plant and equipment

As well as other duties as requiredKey Performance Indicators for the role:

Reduced plant down time due to breakdown and scheduled maintenance.Reduced equipment breakdown and down time.

Suggestions to improve materials handling and productivity.Reduction in safety/near miss incidents.

Increase productivity due to reduced down time & CI activities.Ideally, you will have 2 -3 years of experience in a similar role, forklift licence is advantageous and PR / AU / NZ citizenship is a must.

We are currently looking for a Service Repair Technician to join our growing team at our Milwaukee Service Centre in Dandenong South, VIC. The Service Repair Technicians will effectively diagnose, and repair returned products in accordance with the company manufacturer’s warranty and ACCC regulations to support best in class customer experience.

Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader your duties will include:

• Dismantling and reassembling product to make a diagnosis.
• Perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance and delivering quality repairs within a timely manner 
• Diagnose and troubleshooting faults in power tool products and equipment 
• Continuously improving the warranty and service processes looking for ways to streamline where possible 
• Ensure product is working according to specifications outlined by the manufacturer 
• Provide support and feedback to service operations, compliance and quality departments 
• Performing Ad-hoc duties as requested by management 
• Ensure compliance with all TTI WHS and company procedures 
• Ensure your activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

• Product Diagnosis & Repair:
• Expertly diagnose faults and perform repairs on a wide range of returned Sun King solar products (lamps, home systems, etc.).
• Accurately document the root cause of failures and repair actions taken for data analysis and reporting.
• Refurbishment Centre Support:
• Work within the refurbishment centre to restore products to like-new condition, following standard operating procedures.
• Efficiently manage the workflow of faulty units, ensuring a swift turnaround from intake to quality-checked, ready-to-use product.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct Incoming Quality Control (IQC) checks on returned products to assess their condition.
• Perform Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) checks on all repaired and refurbished units before redeployment to guarantee they meet Sun King's strict performance and safety standards.
