Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of HSD Storage and Handling facilities at a Data Centre. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of piping, pumping systems, and instrumentation, while adhering to safety, operational, and client standards. This is a Level 1 category role, requiring prompt responsiveness to client requirements and on-ground technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day maintenance of piping systems, pumps, valves, flow switches, and related equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for instrumentation and automation systems involved in HSD handling.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and promptly escalate to higher levels where required.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment status.
Respond quickly to client queries/issues and provide timely updates.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for specialized repair or replacement needs.
Support commissioning, testing, and minor modifications as per operational requirements.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Strong understanding of piping layouts, pump operations, and instrumentation systems.
Hands-on experience with HSD storage and handling facilities preferred.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and electrical/instrumentation diagrams.
Knowledge of safety norms, firefighting systems, and DG yard fuel handling procedures is desirable.
Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Ability to work independently and respond promptly under critical situations.

About the Role

- Proficient with troubleshooting & maintenance of CNC machines, Grinding machines, general purpose machines, MIG/TIG Welding machines.
- Managing scheduled and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Handling utilities maintenance such as air compressors, DG sets, water pumps, and air conditioners.
- Awareness & exposure to ERP/ISO/5S/Quality management system
