**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Lead New Product Introductions (NPIs) and manage manufacturing transfers for existing products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
+ Define and optimize assembly and testing process flows, ensuring efficient and scalable production sequences.
+ Set up and validate production infrastructure, including jigs, fixtures, and testing equipment to support high-quality manufacturing.
+ Manage & own product and process risks(PFMEA), drive quality (DPU) improvements across factory and forward production, and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects.
+ Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ensure seamless implementation of changes on the manufacturing floor.
+ Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, digitization efforts, plant modernization, and advanced manufacturing practices to support continuous improvement.
+ Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with medical device regulations and oversee their implementation and execution on the shop floor. Own quality matrix of shopfloor (Nonconformities, CAPA etc.)
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
+ 2+ years of experience in Process engineering
+ Medical Device Industry experience is preferred
+ Sound knowledge of Manufacturing process (Assembly process, Automation), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Jigs Fixtures design.
+ Knowledge of Electromechanical parts, assemblies.
+ Hands on experience on Problem Solving, failure analysis tools. (Lean & Six Sigma tools)
+ Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)
+ Good communication skills (Oral/Written)

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Understand the project requirements and develop the tool design strategy for the same.
● Design tools for layup, assembly and Drill fixture etc and review, fabricate and qualify the tools for the project.
● Undertake tolerance stack up analysis for assemblies to ascertain the tolerances of components and incorporate in tool design.
● Work with process engineers to quality the tools and moulds for production release.
● Set up the maintenance schedule and calibration schedule of moulds, tools and fixtures
● Monitor and control CAM files and programs for the manufacturing of components
● Design, develop and manufacture quality aids like templates, inspection jigs/fixtures, go no-go gauge, etc for the inspection process
● Undertake design, modification, and disposition of manufacturing tools to support the build of production parts.
● Experience with production tool strings, assembly instructions, tool order creation, tool liaison, and Geometric Dimensioning Tolerances (GDT).
● Undertake rapid tooling activity for composites, jigs and assemblies for pre production runs.
● Participate in cross-functional activities
● Mentor teams working in the discipline

Must have skills:
● Good understanding of GD&T concepts and reading drawings
