About the Role


We are establishing a state-of-the-art greenfield semiconductor assembly and test facility, and we are seeking a visionary General Manager of Industrial Engineering to lead the development of core industrial engineering systems and teams. This role is critical in building capacity planning infrastructure, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving digital transformation from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities


Capacity Systems

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical capacity systems:

- Strategic capacity systems for capital investment planning, space allocation, long-term scalability and ramp planning.

- Tactical capacity management for operational execution, production scheduling, and factory ramp planning, throughput analysis, line balancing, and equipment utilization.

• Collaborate with operations, planning, equipment engineering, R&D, and sales to translate customer inputs into actionable plans.


Layout

• Develop and manage factory layout team and systems integrated with capacity response planning.

• Communicate layout requirements and changes to facilities and construction stakeholders.

• Lead cross-functional projects for capacity expansion, process changes, and factory layout evolution.

• Support greenfield startup execution including site readiness, equipment installation, and ramp-up planning.


Manufacturing Systems Development

• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives including predictive analytics, AI-driven optimization, and digital twin technologies. Utilize data analytics and statistical methods to drive operational decisions.

• Collaborate with IT to develop MES dashboards and reporting tools for factory operations leadership. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), apply SEMI E10 standards for equipment performance.


Qualifications & Skills


Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong background in industrial engineering, capacity planning, and systems development.

• Leadership: Proven experience leading large projects across multiple organizations

Experience in greenfield factory setup and capacity systems development.

• Technical Skills:

- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, JMP).

Familiarity with ERP, MES, and smart manufacturing platforms.

Working knowledge of layout and new factory construction systems and principles.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
