**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running
- Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively
- Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions
- Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as motor analyzers, handheld computers and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
- Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be
- Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems
- Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits
- Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions

Summary of the Role:

A Reliability mechanic is a part of the MI & Reliability team that takes care of all types of plant equipment Preventive and predictive maintenance including utility general maintenance . Mechanic will be responsible for Vibration analysis, Lubrication of equipment, of utility , preparation of spare part list, equipment repairs, and PM records and data. Beside the above regular activities, he will also support in developing SOPs, JSA, root cause analysis .

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The Reliability mechanic will be responsible for keeping the equipment at plant /facility in good operating condition by performing preventive maintenance, machine tests, troubleshoots, corrective actions on technical problems , keeping spare equipment ready by overhauling, and performing :

Alignment of new machines, equipment and repair of chemical plant equipment like Pumps, Mechanical seal, Agitator and gear boxes etc.

Implement inspection, testing , Preventive and Predictive maintenance schedule.

On time support to process department during emergency or breakdown situation.

Trouble shooting, Root cause analysis and corrective action on plant rotary equipment.

Using power tools and different hand tools to execute assigned maintenance tasks and .

Work as per LZAI’s best practices, SOPs, , and other safety guidelines.

Well conversant for confined space and work on height job

Experience on SAP PM module , data entry etc .

Preparation of equipment assembly drawing by capturing actual dimensions.

Follow guidelines of QMS/EMS/EnMS & OSHAS related to maintenance section.

Well conversant in working within team of different segments and grades.

Experience in working Lubrication programming , Lubrication sampling and analysis.

Well conversant on using vibration analysis and fault finding.

Well conversant with manual alignment , laser alignment.

Vibration analysis Lubrication program Laser Alignment Machining of items, thread cutting, taper machining etc. Limits & fit tolerance of couplings used for power transmission. Equipment modification (machine guarding, fabricated foundation, conversion of bush bearing to anti frication bearing etc.)

Education & Experience

Diploma (Mech) with 5 – 6 years of experience in maintenance department of chemical manufacturing unit.

Experience in SAP maintenance operations.

Vibration analysis knowledge is must.

The Mechanic position performs all tasks and duties of a mechanical discipline including but not limited to, installing and maintaining engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors, and miscellaneous mechanical devices. The position is responsible for all mechanical Platform equipment The position is also responsible for uploading maintenance and repair data into a Maintenance Management System (MMS).

Enter maintenance and repair data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Create Job requests and work orders as required and enter into maintenance tracking system.

Coordinate with Rig Superintendent/Maintenance Lead on the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment.

Foresee potential equipment malfunctions or failures and performs required repairs, adjustments or modification to resolve the problem.

Respond to emergencies as requested and coordinate onsite activities to utilize resources to facilitate repairs in the most expedient and cost effective manner.

Ensure an adequate amount of spare parts are on hand at all times.

Submit requisitions to Rig Manager/Purchasing Manager for approval.

Maintain records of all mechanical inventories and place orders as required within budgetary limits.

Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to facilitate any necessary repairs.

Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed.
