JOB SUMMARY:


A Media Planner enables a client to maximize the impact of their advertising campaigns using a range of media. They combine creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary & Secondary Research
  • Building the base of the plan which includes selection of Genre & Channels based on Reach, Share, Affinity, Clutter & Stickiness
  • Scheduling the plan as per different parameters in order to achieve greater visibility
  • Support the team in the overall planning process and optimization
  • Campaign tracking, measurement, evaluation and reporting on ongoing client activities
  • Formulation of television reports on monthly basis
  • Mapping of Competitors activity and Category study
  • Assisting in releasing the campaign, making spot monitoring report and based on the spot drops coordinating with the channels in order to prevent GRPs drop
  • Presenting the Pre & Post Campaign Analysis in the form of a Deck
  • Day to day campaign updates/delivery
  • Work on various Pitch presentations
  • Evaluating the Plan on BARC and carrying out day to day data crunching for the clients


PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 - 2 year of agency experience
  • Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Advertising/Marketing/Communication


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Research and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well versed with MS Office

The Media Planning Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing long-term promotional strategies in collaboration with the Marketing, Programming, and Creative teams. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Marketing, Programming, and Creative teams to develop a long-term promotional strategy. Utilize quantitative audience analysis to recommend the optimal number and type of promotions for each channel.
- Learn and operate proprietary scheduling, reporting, and optimization platforms to manage on-air inventory and execute campaigns effectively.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, ensuring alignment with communication targets.
- Coordinate with partner departments to manage promo material delivery, scheduling, and transmission log delivery.
- Ensure campaigns align with the broader Network promotional strategy.
- Make informed decisions on the best use of on-air inventory to meet network rating targets, using industry research and insights.
- Analyze viewing patterns and collaborate with Adsales, Programming, and Marketing teams to optimize break patterns, improving audience flow and achieving both commercial and marketing goals.
- Act as a point of contact for any transmission issues related to assigned feeds.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma holder
- Familiarity with BARC YUMI software and basic analytical skills
- Experience in TV media planning or buying, preferably within a broadcaster or media agency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in PC software and tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Knowledge of the South Asia industry and competitive landscape

**Role Summary and Impact**

As part of the **Global Operations Centre (GOC)**, you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are looking for an Executive - Implementation Planning who will:

- Develop strong relationships with Client Servicing and Activation teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the team and across all practices regular check ins with the team.
- Support Media Planning Managers to ensure the smooth delivery of campaigns and their performance against agreed outcomes.
- Conduct research and compile data to guide and support planning and optimization recommendations.
- Compile and validate creative specs. Collaborate with creative agency partners to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Activation teams to complete the detail of the plan in Olive.
- Create trafficking sheet templates and collaborate with Ad Operations through campaign launch.
- Prepare data for reporting and analysis.
- Support the team in making optimization recommendations.
- Assist in the management of testing plans for assigned campaigns.
- Contribute to internal case studies for the sharing of learning and best practice.
- Meet with vendors and attend presentations to build knowledge of the media landscape.

**Skills and Experience**
- Media Planning are experts on the paid media landscape and how consumers interact with it. We architect and steward holistic media plans throughout their lifecycle, owning the creation of overall plans, cross-channel budget allocation, in-flight cross-channel optimization & reporting and post-campaign analysis. We are our clients’ key contacts for a unified view across all aspects of their campaigns, narrating the story of the campaign from planning recommendation through to PCA.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of B2B program marketing experience, preferably in the technology field; enterprise infrastructure software marketing experience is a huge plus
- Knowledge of media planning principles, techniques, and best practices across various channels (digital & social)
- Familiarity with media buying, negotiation, and contract management.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box for creative solutions
- Computer literate with good skills in all basic Office programs (including Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for everything media and advertising, coupled with a continued desire to expand your knowledge

- Digital Media Planning for Search and Social media campaigns.
- Execution of Search campaign and Social media campaign.
- Knowledge of tools like Semrush, similar web and ComScore.
- Digital media planning of Google Display campaigns and Video campaigns.
- Managing media buys-Existing accounts.
- Inventory Management, Publisher relationship and providing assistance to Publishers.
- Managing Advertiser’s budget, time deadline for specific clients and campaigns.
- Making media pitches in cohesion with social media and search team.
- Locking inventory for future demand from Top 3 networks for smooth campaign delivery.

**Job Descriptions**:

- Desired Experience: Min 2 years in Media Buying and planning.
- Educational Qualification: Postgraduate
