Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, experienced, and knowledgeable medical scribe to assist our client’s healthcare team with documenting patient medical records. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information on patient visits. The ideal candidate will adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians.
• Scribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications.
• Ensure medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.
• Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the prescribed format.
• Prepare and send all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
• Complies with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA.
• Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related domain
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar domain
• Experience with US-based clinics/hospitals is a must
• Experience with internal medicine
• Familiarity with medical terminology & medical summarization
• Excellent English professional writing skills; including advanced proficiency in grammar and spelling.
• Ability to work independently in a secure and private location with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Ability to participate in live audio/video chats and screen-sharing sessions.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on coding practices

Qualifications:

Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

Minimum of 1-2 years of coding experience preferred

Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, PCS

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Summary

As a medical biller, you'll play a crucial role in healthcare administration by ensuring patient information is accurately coded for insurance claims and billing purposes. You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning standardized codes (such as ICD-10 and CPT) to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments, and ensuring these codes are used to process claims with insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Perform charge and demo entries.
• Analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures, and medical services using standardized coding systems (ICD-10 and CPT)
• Review bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and state Medicaid.
• Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with the contract.
• Understands the medical billing process, insurance rules and regulations, and can enforce/abide by policies and procedures.
• Document all actions taken in the company or Client host system.
• Adhere to HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and compliance requirements at all times.
• Research payor rules and regulations to maintain current payor knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to navigate insurance claim processes and resolve issues.

Eastern Time - 6:30 p.m. - 3:30 a.m. IST, Monday - Friday
