Responsibilities
  • Use scientific expertise to develop (write, proofread, and data-check) high-quality, client-ready scientific, medical, and educational materials like slides, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, MSL/training slide decks, infographics, congress and meetings materials, literature searches and reviews, standard response letters/medical information letters, and HCP engagement content according to client needs with excellent attention to detail under the guidance of the scientific leads
  • Liaise and build trusting and professional relationships with international pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, internal and external stakeholders including authors, reviewers and key opinion leaders across therapeutic areas -- learning to anticipate their needs
  • Effectively and proactively communicate with team members, authors/faculty, clients and vendors
  • Attend workshops/seminars/trainings to hone your skills and contribute to organizational objectives
  • Attend client and other external meetings and supporting senior team members as needed
  • Apply your scientific and creative knowledge and work closely with client directors in developing ideas and executing effective medical communications initiatives in the digital space, including publication extenders, creation of infographics, interactive assets, website content, patient narratives, and medical information engagement plans
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all materials follow/comply with client requirements/SOPs, style guides, client templates, client preferences (as applicable), and CACTUS’ internal SOPs. Any updates to either of these items should be made consistently and documents should remain up to date
  • Perform as a document specialist, provide intellectual input across document types, and contribute to making cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences as appropriate, by maintaining current awareness of developments across therapeutic areas or disciplines
  • Share best practices and client preferences, thereby contributing to skill development within the medical communications team
Qualifications And Prerequisites
  • 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields of scientific writing
  • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication
  • Should have experience working on publications
  • Clear, concise, scientific style of writing, with a high level of attention to detail and excellent language skills
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with the clients
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences
  • Basic knowledge of biostatistics
  • Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities
  • Very good working knowledge of MS Office

You will work on projects ranging from journal cover designs, surgical and anatomical illustrations, scientific diagrams, and 3 D/2 D medical visuals. Collaborating closely with scientific writers and clients, you will ensure each illustration aligns with scientific accuracy, design quality, and client needs.Job Responsibilities:Create high-quality 2 D/3 D medical and surgical illustrations, anatomical drawings, and journal cover visuals.Collaborate with scientific writers and clients to understand technical content and translate it into precise and impactful visuals.Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in representing scientific and medical subjects.Work on a wide variety of projects, including medical figure enhancements, journal covers, graphical abstracts, and educational diagrams.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining design excellence.Ensure scientific accuracy in every deliverable by reviewing source material and verifying details.Provide creative input and feedback to improve overall project output.Qualifications:5-7 years of professional experience as a Medical Illustrator (or related role in scientific/medical visualization).Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Medical Illustration, Biomedical Visualization, Life Sciences, or related fields.Strong portfolio showcasing anatomical, surgical, and scientific illustrations.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with 3 D illustration tools (e.g., Blender, Cinema4 D, ZBrush, or equivalent) is a strong plus.Ability to understand and accurately depict anatomy, physiology, and medical concepts in visual form.Capable of handling multiple projects and tight deadlines with precision and focus.Application Process:For this role, there will one technical assessment and one interview round (virtual).

Live Medical Scriber - 8 AM - 5 P EST Time ZoneWe’re seeking a Medical Scriber who is ready to work with new technologies and help ourproviders with saving time and money. The ideal candidate has experience using the EHRto scribe visitation notes into the patient’s chart while understanding the difference nuances between multiple providers in real time.Objectives of this roleResponsibilities• Reviews Physician dictation and transcribes to clinical notes in EMR/Billing systems• Prepares and assembles medical record documentation/charts for physician(s).• Ensures medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.• Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient• Prepares and sends all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.• Monitors the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures.• Complies with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission.• Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.• Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes• Ensure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with government and insurance regulations• Follow up with the provider on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear• Communicate with other clinical staff regarding documentation• Search for information in cases where the coding is complex or unusual• Receive and review patient charts and documents for accuracy• Review the previous day's batch of patient notes for evaluation and coding• Ensure that all codes are current and activeRequired skills and qualifications• 3-5 years of experience as a Live Medical Scriber• Administrative writing skills• Reporting skills• Organizational skills• Record-keeping• Microsoft Office skills• Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization• Typing• Solid oral and written communication skills• Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:• Medical coding or successful completion of a certification program• Bachelor’s degree with pre-health career track preferred• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology• Familiarity with ICD-X codes and CPT Procedures• Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
