• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field

Job Description

Senior Software Engineer

• 12 months contract, excellent extension options!
• Location – ACT, hybrid work arrangement will be considered
• Australian Citizens with ability to obtain NV1 Clearance

Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is a 12 months initial contract with further extensions possible, based on funding and approval.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Analysis of requirements and existing applications.
• Creating new, and updating existing design artefacts with proposed changes.
• Creating new, and updating existing User Interfaces using C# .Net, VB6, Angular, Oracle 11g/12c/PL-SQL.
• Creating new, and updating existing Interfaces REST API, WCF.
• Creating new and updating existing pipelines YAML, Octopus Deploy.
• Undertaking general DevOps tasks (Group Policy, Citrix Management, PowerShell scripting as required).
• Implementation of proposed changes including liaising with testing, release management and operations teams.
• Build and sustain relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

The Job

As a Software Consulting Engineer in this role you will be working in highly technical environments and using the latest technologies to help organisations through complex challenges.

You will be an engineer as part of a Delivery team and will have full autonomy in how you work and take full ownership of your projects. You will become the field expert with MongoDB (full training provided) and be able to utilise your full skillset in wide range of cutting edge and large scale projects.

Must have Requirements:

• 3+ years Software Engineering experience
• Strong MongoDB knowledge – Ideally with some formal training (certifications or previously attended a trade craft)
• Excellent Communication in English

About You

You should be Software Engineer who is comfortable in client facing environments and able to communicate clearly and educate peers to be able to deliver technical solutions. You should be proficient in one or more of the following (in no particular order): Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Scala, Go, C++, C# - and of course any previous experience with MongoDB would be highly desirable but by no means essential.
