- Report changes in client's physical conditions/behaviours
- Provide services aimed at reducing symptoms/behaviours associated with a mental health disability.
- Provide interventions and services to promote the highest possible level of success - socially, self-care, and increase positive coping skills - through restoration and maintenance
- Assist clients in education, work skills, sobriety or with other issues related to their diagnosis by obtaining skills to live independently.
- Document identifying client symptoms or behaviours and interventions aimed at assisting the client with needs
- Provide client support in accordance with individualized treatment plans, including ensuring documentation is completed, and recorded and physicians are notified timely when necessary.
- Follows facility documentation policies in regard to daily, and weekly summaries, quarterlies, pre-authorizations, and behavioural descriptions.
- Assisting with crisis de-escalation by communicating with the Psychiatrist in identifying the client’s current state as well as initiating interventions and safety needs as dictated by client behaviour.
- Focus on prevention of client crisis and incidents relating to program compliance, refusals, symptoms and behaviours.
- Assist clients with program education and increase their basic knowledge of program goals.

**Job type**: This is a permanent position and we seek a minimum of 24 months commitment. Also, includes one Sunday duty for which compensatory off will be provided.

The PARC Senior Clinician provides expert clinical knowledge, leadership and advanced organisation skills to ensure the delivery of an integrated mental health service to the consumers utilising this service. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and sound working knowledge of mental health.
  • Ability to conduct assessments, formulate comprehensive treatment strategies, maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, identify and liaise with other key agencies/carers/family involved in the treatment of the client.
  • Work collaboratively with our partnership agency and client to develop and implement individual care plans for PARC consumers.  
  • A knowledge and ability to facilitate consumer and family/carer participation at all levels within the service.
  • Be responsible, with other senior staff, for the day to day operational and clinical functions of the program.
