As a Demand Planning Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Demand and Forecasting product engine. Our client is looking for a strategic and analytical Senior Retail Operations Analyst to join their team in Gurugram, Haryana, IN . This hybrid role will focus on optimizing retail operations, enhancing customer experience, and driving efficiency across our store network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail dynamics, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies. You will be responsible for analyzing sales performance, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and customer feedback to identify trends and recommend actionable strategies for growth and profitability. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the retail business.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for retail operations, sales, and inventory management.
  • Evaluate store performance and provide recommendations for improvement in areas such as merchandising, layout, and staffing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock allocation to minimize stockouts and overstock.
  • Analyze supply chain efficiency and identify areas for cost reduction and improved delivery times.
  • Collaborate with store managers and cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various retail functions.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operational effectiveness and provide on-site support.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance retail operations and customer experience.
  • Assist in the development and execution of new store openings and store remodels.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market best practices in retail operations.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for store staff on operational procedures.
  • Analyze customer feedback and service metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Drive initiatives related to loss prevention and shrink reduction.
  • Contribute to the overall retail strategy and business planning process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations, analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).
  • Experience with retail analytics software and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Solid understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising and store layout principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
