Summery:
The Mine Planning Lead is responsible for leading the mine planning team and overseeing both long-term and short-term mine planning, design, and scheduling activities. The role ensures that excavation aligns with the approved Mining Plan, reconciles production quantity and quality with cross-functional departments, and upholds safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all mining operations.
Roles and Responsibility-
- Oversees the mine planning team and is responsible for long-term & short-term planning, mine design, scheduling, mine production and mine safety based on business requirements.
- Ensure the excavation plan as per the approved Mining plan.
- Reconciliation of quantity and quality with cross functional dept.
- To ensure the mining process is efficient, safe, and cost-effective in all aspects.
- Must have SURPAC software certified with operating experience of minimum 5 year.
- Should individually handle block modelling, resource modelling, pit design and update plan and section though SURPAC. He should Generate Daily, weekly and monthly Blend Plan and Excavation Plan through SURPAC.
- Should train other Mining engineers / Mine geologist/ Mine planner under him in SURPAC.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
- First Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (preferred).
