The IT Business Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities and provide guidance to new or lower level analysts
- Analyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology, and derive test cases
- Define and analyze enhancements and assist in redesigning business processes and process automation
- Prepare reports, metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT
- Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
- Test systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analyses
- Resolve problems by translating business requirements into technical solutions and identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedent
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards
- Proven analytical, data analysis, organization and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse project portfolio
- Consistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and concepts
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives

Responsibilities:
- Define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals through partnership with decision makers, systems owners and end users
- Work as part of the Business Management Office team to accomplish objectives and liaise with relevant internal and external partners / stakeholders as needed to achieve defined
goals
- Handle the Unit processes related to staff joining/ exit and work on process improvements as required. Will be responsible for running unit-level checks at the time of joining and exit,
and maintaining the required documents / evidence so as to be always "audit-ready".
- Analyze and track various budgets and expense reimbursements and proactively alert in case of any potential overshoot
- Create and prepare reports, metrics and presentations to support the unit leadership on various unit-level MIS and reporting requirements
- Identify potential risks and alert management on the implications to the business unit as well as implement appropriate controls wherever applicable
- Provide advice and counsel related to technology or operations of the business, ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
- Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources and perform other duties and functions as assigned
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by
driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and

Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant hands-on experience in Technology Unit Administration, Business Management, Operational Controls and Governance reporting
- Excellent understanding of Expense Management and Reporting processes.
- Knowledge of business systems and industry standards
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills
- Very good knowledge in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Collaborative tools like Sharepoint
- Experience in developing / working on process workflow automation
- Prior knowledge / familiarity with Citi policies around Expense Management processes and Service Centre rules will be an additional advantage
- Proven interpersonal skills to develop working relationships
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly and handle them independently with minimal supervision
- Consistently approach work methodically with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of ISO 27000 and Information Security Management standards as well as Agile Project Management and Operational Risk Management will be a plus
