We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Subject Matter Expert– Web Developmen t to join our Computer Science Department. This academic-focused role requires a strong web development background and teaching and mentoring students in core computer science subjects.

This is a full-time Academic role.

Key Responsibilities:

● Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like JavaScript, React.js, Typescript, etc.

● Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience.

● Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum.

● Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth.

● Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation.

● Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must-Have:

● Prior experience as a Software Developer with a focus on front-end development.

● Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.JS, and Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly).

● Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks.

● Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students.

● Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics.

Good-to-Have:

● Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.

● Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools.

● Experience in software development and system design.
